19 என் மகனே, நீ செவிகொடுத்து ஞானமடைந்து, உன் இருதயத்தை நல்வழியிலே நடத்து.
20 மதுபானப்பிரியரையும் மாம்சப்பெருந்தீனிக்காரரையும் சேராதே.
21 குடியனும் போஜனப்பிரியனும் தரித்திரராவார்கள்; தூக்கம் கந்தைகளை உடுத்துவிக்கும்.
19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.
20 Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
