1 சாமுவேல் 24
1 சவுல் பெலிஸ்தரைப் பின் தொடர்ந்து திரும்பிவந்தபோது, இதோ, தாவீது என்கேதியின் வனாந்தரத்தில் இருக்கிறான் என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
2 அப்பொழுது சவுல்: இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்திலும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மூவாயிரம்பேரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, தாவீதையும் அவன் மனுஷரையும் வரையாடுகளுள்ள கன்மலைகளின் மேல் தேடப்போனான்.
3 வழியோரத்திலிருக்கிற ஆட்டுத்தொழுவங்களிடத்தில் அவன் வந்தபோது, அங்கே ஒரு கெபி இருந்தது; அதிலே சவுல் மலஜலாதிக்குப் போனான்; தாவீதும் அவன் மனுஷரும் அந்தக் கெபியின் பக்கங்களில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்.
4 அப்பொழுது தாவீதின் மனுஷர் அவனை நோக்கி: இதோ, நான் உன் சத்துருவை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; உன் பார்வைக்கு நலமானபடி அவனுக்குச் செய்வாயாக என்று கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே சொன்ன நாள் இதுதானே என்றார்கள்; தாவீது எழுந்திருந்துபோய், சவுலுடைய சால்வையின் தொங்கலை மெள்ள அறுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
5 தாவீது சவுலின் சால்வைத் தொங்கலை அறுத்துக்கொண்டதினிமித்தம் அவன் மனது அடித்துக்கொண்டிருந்து.
6 அவன் தன் மனுஷரைப் பார்த்து: கர்த்தர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின என் ஆண்டவன்மேல் என் கையைப் போடும்படியான இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியத்தை நான் செய்யாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தர் என்னைக் காப்பாராக; அவர் கர்த்தரால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணப்பட்டவர் என்று சொல்லி,
7 தன் மனுஷரைச் சவுலின் மேல் எழும்ப ஒட்டாமல், இவ்வார்த்தைகளினால் அவர்களைத் தடைபண்ணினான்; சவுல் எழுந்திருந்து, கெபியைவிட்டு, வழியே நடந்துபோனான்.
8 அப்பொழுது தாவீதும் எழுந்து, கெபியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, சவுலுக்குப் பின்னாகப் போய்; ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனே என்று கூப்பிட்டான்; சவுல் திரும்பிப் பார்த்தபோது, தாவீது தரைமட்டும் முகங்குனிந்து வணங்கி,
9 சவுலை நோக்கி: தாவீது உமக்குப் பொல்லாப்புச் செய்யப்பார்க்கிறான் என்று சொல்லுகிற மனுஷருடைய வார்த்தைகளை ஏன் கேட்கிறீர்?
10 இதோ, கர்த்தர் இன்று கெபியில் உம்மை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார் என்பதை இன்றையதினம் உம்முடைய கண்கள் கண்டதே, உம்மைக் கொன்றுபோடவேண்டும் என்று சிலர் சொன்னார்கள்; ஆனாலும் என் கை உம்மைத் தப்பவிட்டது; என் ஆண்டவன் மேல் என் கையைப் போடேன்; அவர் கர்த்தரால் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்பட்டவராமே என்றேன்.
11 என் தகப்பனே பாரும்; என் கையிலிருக்கிற உம்முடைய சால்வையின் தொங்கலைப் பாரும்; உம்மைக் கொன்று போடாமல், உம்முடைய சால்வையின் தொங்கலை அறுத்துக்கொண்டேன்; என் கையிலே பொல்லாப்பும் துரோகமும் இல்லை என்றும், உமக்கு நான் குற்றம் செய்யவில்லை என்றும் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்; நீரோ என் பிராணனை வாங்க, அதை வேட்டையாடுகிறீர்.
12 கர்த்தர் எனக்கும் உமக்கும் நடு நின்று நியாயம் விசாரித்து, கர்த்தர் தாமே என் காரியத்தில் உமக்கு நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுவாராக; உம்முடைய பேரில் நான் கைபோடுவதில்லை.
13 முதியோர் மொழிப்படியே, ஆகாதவர்களிடத்திலே ஆகாமியம் பிறக்கும்; ஆகையால் உம்முடையபேரில் நான் கை போடுவதில்லை.
14 இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா யாரைத் தேடப் புறப்பட்டார்? ஒரு செத்த நாயையா, ஒரு தெள்ளுப்பூச்சியையா, நீர் யாரைப் பின் தொடருகிறீர்?
15 கர்த்தர் நியாயாதிபதியாயிருந்து, எனக்கும் உமக்கும் நியாயந்தீர்த்து, எனக்காக வழக்காடி, நான் உம்முடைய கைக்குத் தப்ப என்னை விடுவிப்பாராக என்றான்.

18 நீ எனக்கு நன்மைசெய்ததை இன்று விளங்கப்பண்ணினாய்; கர்த்தர் என்னை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருந்தும், நீ என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடவில்லை.
19 ஒருவன் தன் மாற்றானைக் கண்டு பிடித்தால், அவனைச் சுகமே போகவிடுவானோ? இன்று நீ எனக்குச் செய்த நன்மைக்காகக் கர்த்தர் உனக்கு நன்மை செய்வாராக.
20 நீ நிச்சயமாக ராஜாவாய் இருப்பாய் என்றும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜ்யபாரம் உன் கையில் நிலைவரப்படும் என்றும் அறிவேன்.
21 இப்போதும் நீ எனக்குப் பின்னிருக்கும் என் சந்ததியை வேரறுப்பதில்லை என்றும், என் தகப்பன் வீட்டாரில் என் பெயரை அழித்துப்போடுவதில்லை என்றும் கர்த்தர்மேல் எனக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக் கொடு என்றான்.
1 And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of En-gedi.
2 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.
3 And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.
4 And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the Lord said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe privily.
5 And it came to pass afterward, that David’s heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul’s skirt.
6 And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord’s anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.
7 So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.
8 David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.
9 And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men’s words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?
10 Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the Lord had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the Lord’s anointed.
11 Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.
12 The Lord judge between me and thee, and the Lord avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.
13 As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.
14 After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.
15 The Lord therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.
16 And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.
17 And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.
18 And thou hast shewed this day how that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the Lord had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not.
19 For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the Lord reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day.
20 And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.
21 Swear now therefore unto me by the Lord, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father’s house.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
11 ਮਿਸਰਯਿਮ (ਮਿਸਰੀ) ਲੂਦੀਮ, ਅਨਾਮ, ਲਹਾਬੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਤੂਹੀਮ ਦਾ।
And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
12 ਪਤਰੁਸੀਮ, ਕਸਲੁਹੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਕਫ਼ਤੋਰੀਮ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। (ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਕਸਲੁਹੀਮ ਚੋ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ।)
And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.
13 ਸੀਦੋਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਕਨਾਨ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਕਨਾਨ ਹੇਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
14 ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀ, ਅਮੋਰੀ ਗਿਰਗਾਸ਼ੀ ਲੋਕ,
The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
15 ਹਿੱਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨੀ ਲੋਕ
And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18 ਅਰਪਕਸਦ ਸ਼ਾਲਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਲਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਬਰ ਸੀ।
And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
19 ਏਬਰ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਨਮੇ, ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਪਲਗ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਅੱਡ-ਅੱਡ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪਲਗ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਸੀ।
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother’s name was Joktan.
20 (ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ ਅਲਮੋਦਾਦ, ਸ਼ਾਲਫ਼, ਹਸਰਮਾਵਥ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 ਅਤੇ ਹਦੋਰਾਮ, ਊਜ਼ਾਲ ਦੇ ਦਿਕਲਾਹ,
Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 ਏਬਾਲ, ਅਬੀਮਾਏਲ, ਸਬਾ,
And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

25 ਏਬਰ, ਪਲਗ, ਰਊ,
Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 ਸਰੂਗ, ਨਾਹੋਰ, ਤਾਰਹ,
Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ। (ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।)
Abram; the same is Abraham.
28 ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ।
The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.
29 ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ: ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਬਾਯੋਥ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਕੇਦਾਰ, ਅਦਬੇਲ, ਮਿਬਸਾਮ,
These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
30 ਮਿਸ਼ਮਾ, ਦੂਮਾਹ, ਮੱਸਾ, ਹਦਦ, ਤੇਮਾ,
Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
31 ਯਟੂਰ, ਨਾਫ਼ੀਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਦਮਾਹ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਸੀ।
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
32 ਕਤੂਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਤੂਰਾਹ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਿਮਰਾਨ, ਯਾਕਸਾਨ, ਮਦਾਨ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ, ਯਿਸ਼ਬਾਕ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਦਾਨ ਸਨ।
Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.
33 ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਏਫ਼ਾਹ, ਏਫ਼ਰ, ਹਨੋਕ, ਅਬੀਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਦਾਆਹ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਤੂਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਤਰਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ।
And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
34 ਸਾਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਸਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਨ।
And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.
35 ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਅਲੀਫ਼ਾਜ਼, ਰਊੇਲ, ਯਊਸ਼, ਯਅਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਰਹ।
The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
36 ਅਲੀਫ਼ਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਤੇਮਾਨ, ਓਮਾਰ, ਸਫ਼ੀ, ਗਅਤਾਮ, ਕਨਜ਼ ਤਿਮਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਸਨ।
The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 ਰਊੇਲ ਦੇ ਨਹਥ, ਜ਼ਰਹ, ਸ਼ੱਮਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਜ਼ਾਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।
The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 ਸੇਈਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਸੇਈਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲੋਟਾਨ, ਸ਼ੋਬਾਲ, ਸਿਬਓਨ, ਅਨਾਹ, ਦੀਸ਼ੋਨ, ਏਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਨ।
And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 ਲੋਟਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਹੋਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਮਾਮ ਸਨ। ਲੋਟਾਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਭੈਣ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਤਿਮਨਾ ਸੀ।
And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan’s sister.
40 ਸ਼ੋਬਾਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਅਲਯਾਨ, ਮਾਨਹਥ, ਏਬਾਲ, ਸਫ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਓਨਾਮ। ਸਿਬਓਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਯ੍ਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਾਹ ਸਨ।
The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.
41 ਅਨਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀਸ਼ੋਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਸ਼ੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਹਮਰਾਨ, ਅਸ਼ਬਾਨ, ਯਿਥਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਾਨ।
The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 ਏਸ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਿਲਹਾਨ, ਜ਼ਅਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਅਕਾਨ ਸਨ। ਦੀਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਊਸ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਨ।
The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.
43 ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਦੋਮ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ: ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਲਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਓਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਹਾਬਾਹ ਸੀ।
Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਯੋਬਾਬ ਬਸਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ।
And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 ਜਦੋਂ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਮਰਿਆ ਤਦ ਹੂਸ਼ਾਮ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਹੂਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੇਮਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ।
And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 ਜਦੋਂ ਹੂਸ਼ਾਮ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ, ਬਦਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਦਦ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਹਦਦ ਨੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਦਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਵਿਥ ਸੀ।
And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
47 ਜਦ ਹਦਦ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਲਾਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਸਰੇਕਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ।
And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 ਜਦੋਂ ਸਮਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਰਹੋਬੋਥ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਯੁਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
49 ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਮਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਕਬੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਆਲ-ਹਾਨਾਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 ਜਦੋਂ ਬਆਲ-ਹਾਨਨ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਹਦਦ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਸੀ ਪਈ। ਹਦਦ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਮਹੇਟਬੇਲ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਟਰੇਦ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਮਟਰੇਦ ਮੇਜ਼ਾਹਾਬ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ।
And when Baal-hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
51 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹਦਦ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਤਿਮਨਾ, ਅਲਯਾਹ, ਯਤੇਤ
Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,
52 ਆਹਲੀਬਾਮਾਹ, ਏਲਾਹ, ਪੀਨੋਨ,
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 ਕਨਜ਼, ਤੇਮਾਨ, ਮਿਬਸਾਰ,
Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
54 ਮਗਦੀਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਈਰਾਮ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਸੀ।
