லூக்கா 14

1 ஒரு ஓய்வுநாளிலே பரிசேயரில் தலைவனாகிய ஒருவனுடைய வீட்டிலே அவர் போஜனம் பண்ணும்படிக்குப் போயிருந்தார்.

2 அப்பொழுது நீர்க்கோவை வியாதியுள்ள ஒரு மனுஷன் அவருக்கு முன்பாக இருந்தான். என்ன செய்வாரோவென்று ஜனங்கள் அவர் மேல் நோக்கமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

3 இயேசு நியாயசாஸ்திரிகளையும் பரிசேயரையும் பார்த்து: ஒய்வுநாளிலே சொஸ்தமாக்குகிறது நியாயமா என்று கேட்டார்.

4 அதற்கு அவர்கள் பேசாமலிருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர் அவனை அழைத்து, சொஸ்தமாக்கி, அனுப்பிவிட்டு,

5 அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களில் ஒருவனுடைய கழுதையாவது எருதாவது ஓய்வுநாளில் துரவிலே விழுந்தால், அவன் அதை உடனே தூக்கிவிடானோ என்றார்.

6 அதற்கு உத்தரவுசொல்ல அவர்களால் கூடாமற்போயிற்று.

1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.

2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.

3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?

4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;

5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

6 And they could not answer him again to these things.

அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் முந்நூறு கேடகங்களையும் உண்டாக்கினான்; ஒவ்வொரு கேடகத்திற்கு முந்நூறு சேக்கல் எடை பொன்னைச் செலவழித்தான்; அவைகளை ராஜா லீபனோன் வனம் என்னும் மாளிகையிலே வைத்தான்.

சாலொமோன் அரசன் அடித்த பொன் தகட்டால் 300 சிறிய கேடயங்களைச் செய்தான். ஒவ்வொரு கேடயமும் 300 சேக்கல் பொன் எடையுள்ளதாக இருந்தது. சாலொமோன் இவற்றை லீபனோனின் காட்டு அரண்மனையில் வைத்தான்.
