மத்தேயு 4:9
நீர் சாஷ்டாங்கமாய் விழுந்து, என்னைப் பணிந்துகொண்டால், இவைகளையெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தருவேன் என்று சொன்னான்.

ஞானத்தையும் உணர்வையும் அருளும் ஆவியும், ஆலோசனையையும் பெலனையும் அருளும் ஆவியும், அறிவையும் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயத்தையும் அருளும் ஆவியுமாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியானவர் அவர்மேல் தங்கியிருப்பார்.

கர்த்தருடைய ஆவி அந்தச் சிறு (பிள்ளையின்) துளிர்மேல் இருக்கும். ஆவியானவர் ஞானம், புரிந்துகொள்ளுதல், வழிநடத்துதல், வல்லமை போன்றவற்றைத் தருகிறார். ஆவியானவர் அந்த பிள்ளைக்குக் கர்த்தரைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவும், அவரை மதிக்கவும் உதவுவார்.
