இரட்சிப்பின் பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

என் சகோதரியே! என் மணவாளியே! நான் என் தோட்டத்தில் வந்தேன், என் வெள்ளைப்போளத்தையும் என் கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும் சேர்த்தேன்; என் தேன்கூட்டை என் தேனோடு புசித்தேன்; என் திராட்சரசத்தை என் பாலோடும் குடித்தேன். சிநேகிதரே! புசியுங்கள்; பிரியமானவர்களே! குடியுங்கள், பூர்த்தியாய்க் குடியுங்கள்.

உன் தொண்டை, என் நேசர் குடிக்கையில் மெதுவாயிறங்குகிறதும், உறங்குகிறவர்களின் உதடுகளைப் பேசப்பண்ணுகிறதுமான நல்ல திராட்சரசத்தைப்போலிருக்கிறது.

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் இந்த மலையிலே சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் ஒரு விருந்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துவார்; அது கொழுமையான பதார்த்தங்களும், பழமையான திராட்சரசமும் ஊனும் நிணமுமுள்ள பதார்த்தங்களும், தெளிந்த பழமையான திராட்சரசமும் நிறைந்த விருந்தாயிருக்கும்.

ஓ, தாகமாயிருக்கிறவர்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் தண்ணீர்களண்டைக்கு வாருங்கள்; பணமில்லாதவர்களே, நீங்கள் வந்து, வாங்கிச் சாப்பிடுங்கள்; நீங்கள் வந்து, பணமுமின்றி விலையுமின்றித் திராட்சரசமும் பாலும்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
