அப்பொழுது அவருடைய சகோதரரும், தாயாரும் வந்து, வெளியே நின்று, அவரை அழைக்கும்படி அவரிடத்தில் ஆள் அனுப்பினார்கள்.

அதற்கு இயேசு: நீ பேசாமல் இவனைவிட்டு வெளியே போ என்று அதை அதட்டினார்; அப்பொழுது பிசாசு அவனை மக்களின் நடுவே கீழேத் தள்ளி, அவனுக்கு ஒரு தீங்கும் செய்யாமல், அவனைவிட்டுப் போய்விட்டது.

அசுத்த ஆவியைப் பேசாமல் இருக்கும்படி எச்சரித்தார் இயேசு. “அமைதியாக இருப்பாயாக! இம்மனிதனிலிருந்து வெளியே வா!” என்றார் இயேசு. எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாக அசுத்த ஆவி அம்மனிதனைத் தரையில் தூக்கி எறிந்தது. பின்பு அசுத்த ஆவி காயப்படுத்தாமல் அம்மனிதனை விட்டு விலகியது.
