யோசுவா 6:6
அந்தப்படியே நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா ஆசாரியரை அழைத்து: உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோங்கள்; தொனிக்கும் ஏழு எக்காளங்களையும் ஏழு ஆசாரியர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கடவர்கள் என்று சொல்லி;

என்றாலும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் தொகையை அளக்கவும் எண்ணமுடியாத கடற்கரை மணலைப்போலிருக்கும்; நீங்கள் என் மக்களல்ல என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவதற்குப் பதிலாக நீங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்படும்.

“எதிர்காலத்தில் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை கடற்கரையிலுள்ள மணலைப் போன்றிருக்கும். உங்களால் அம்மணலை அளக்கவோ, எண்ணவோ இயலாது. ‘நீங்கள் என் ஜனங்களல்ல’ என்று அவர்களுக்கு சொல்வதற்குப் பதிலாக, ‘நீங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள்’ என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்படும்.
