அகப்பட்டவனெவனும் குத்துண்டு, அவர்களைச் சேர்ந்திருந்தவனெவனும் பட்டயத்தால் விழுவான்.

எகிப்தியரும் பார்வோனும் தங்கள் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினது போல, நீங்கள் உங்கள் இருதயத்தை ஏன் கடினப்படுத்துகிறீர்கள்? அவர்களை அவர் தீங்காய் வாதித்தபின்பு, மக்களை அவர்கள் அனுப்பிவிட்டதும், அவர்கள் போய்விட்டதும் இல்லையோ?

எகிப்தியர்களையும் பார்வோனையும் போன்று கடினமனம் உடையவர்களாக இராதீர்கள். தேவன் எகிப்தியர்களைத் தண்டித்தார். எனவேதான் எகிப்தியர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலர்களை எகிப்தை விட்டுப் போகும்படி அனுமதித்தனர்.
