அப்பொழுது, கர்த்தர் அமத்சியாவின்மேல் கோபமூண்டவராகி, அவனிடத்துக்கு ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியை அனுப்பினார்; இவன் அவனை நோக்கி: தங்கள் ஜனத்தை உமது கைக்குத் தப்புவிக்காதேபோன ஜனத்தின் தெய்வங்களை நீர் நாடுவானேன் என்றான்.

வந்திருந்த மக்கள் எல்லோருக்கும், அவர்கள் எண்ணிக்கையின்படியே, பஸ்கா பலிக்காக முப்பதாயிரம் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், மூவாயிரம் காளைகளையும், ராஜாவாகிய யோசியா தன்னுடைய செல்வத்திலிருந்து கொடுத்தான்.
