மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: இந்த ஜனங்களுக்கு நான் என்ன செய்வேன், இவர்கள் என்மேல் கல்லெறியப் பார்க்கிறார்களே என்றான்.

பின்பு மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, வெளியே வந்து, ஜனங்களை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் காணப்பட்டது.

ஆரோன் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையாருக்கெல்லாம் இதைச் சொல்லுகிறபோது, அவர்கள் வனாந்தரதிசையாகத் திரும்பிப்பார்த்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை மேகத்திலே காணப்பட்டது.

கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் தங்கியிருந்தது; மேகம் ஆறு நாள் அதை மூடியிருந்தது; ஏழாம் நாளில் அவர் மேகத்தின் நடுவிலிருந்து மோசேயைக் கூப்பிட்டார்.

அப்பொழுது ஒரு மேகம் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தை மூடினது; கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை வாசஸ்தலத்தை நிரப்பிற்று.

அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கோராகு சபையையெல்லாம் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடரவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடிவரும்படி செய்தான்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை சபைக்கெல்லாம் காணப்பட்டது.

சபையார் மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாகக் கூடி ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு நேரே பார்க்கிறபோது, மேகம் அதை மூடினது, கர்த்தரின் மகிமை காணப்பட்டது.

அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் சபையாரை விட்டு, ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலில் போய், முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை அவர்களுக்குக் காணப்பட்டது.

தாவீது மிகவும் நெருக்கப்பட்டான்; சகல ஜனங்களும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளினிமித்தம் மனக்கிலேசமானதினால், அவனைக் கல்லெறியவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்; தாவீது தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குள்ளே தன்னைத் திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான்.

எருசலேமே, எருசலேமே, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கொலைசெய்து, உன்னிடத்தில் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்களைக் கல்லெறிகிறவளே! கோழி தன் குஞ்சுகளைத் தன் சிறகுகளின்கீழே கூட்டிச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளும்வண்ணமாக நான் எத்தனைதரமோ உன் பிள்ளைகளைக் கூட்டிச்சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தேன்; உங்களுக்கோ மனதில்லாமற்போயிற்று.

தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் யாரை உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் துன்பப்படுத்தாமலிருந்தார்கள்? நீதிபரருடைய வருகையை முன்னறிவித்தவர்களையும் அவர்கள் கொலைசெய்தார்கள். இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் அவருக்குத் துரோகிகளும், அவரைக் கொலைசெய்த பாதகருமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

அப்பொழுது. கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவே, என் ஆவியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுமென்று ஸ்தேவான் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகையில், அவனைக் கல்லெறிந்தார்கள்.
