இணை வசனம்

மாயக்காரன் பொருளைத் தேடி வைத்திருந்தாலும், தேவன் அவன் ஆத்துமாவை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, அவன் நம்பிக்கை என்ன?

தேவனோ அவனை நோக்கி: மதிகேடனே, உன் ஆத்துமா உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து இந்த இராத்திரியிலே எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்படும், அப்பொழுது நீ சேகரித்தவைகள் யாருடையதாகும் என்றார்.

ஒருவனாவது தன் சகோதரன் அழிவைக் காணாமல் இனி என்றைக்கும் உயிரோடிருக்கும்படி,

மனுஷன் உலகம் முழுவதையும் ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், தன் ஜீவனை நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன?

மனுஷன் உலகமுழுவதையும் ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், தன்னைத் தான் கெடுத்து நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன?

உன் வலது கண் உனக்கு இடறலுண்டாக்கினால், அதைப் பிடுங்கி எறிந்து போடு; உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் நரகத்தில் தள்ளப்படுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், உன் அவயவங்களில் ஒன்று கெட்டுப்போவது உனக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.

அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: மகனே, நீ பூமியிலே உயிரோடிருக்குங் காலத்தில் உன் நன்மைகளை அனுபவித்தாய், லாசருவும் அப்படியே தீமைகளை அநுபவித்தான், அதை நினைத்துக்கொள்; இப்பொழுது அவன் தேற்றப்படுகிறான், நீயோ வேதனைப்படுகிறாய்.

மறுபடியும் பிசாசு அவரை மிகவும் உயர்ந்த மலையின்மேல் கொண்டுபோய், உலகத்தின் சகல ராஜ்யங்களையும் அவைகளின் மகிமையையும் அவருக்குக் காண்பித்து:

சாத்தான் கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக; தோலுக்குப் பதிலாகத் தோலையும், தன் ஜீவனுக்குப் பதிலாகத் தனக்கு உண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் மனுஷன் கொடுத்துவிடுவான்.
