அவர் குருடனுடைய கையைப்பிடித்து, அவனைக் கிராமத்துக்கு வெளியே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அவன் கண்களில் உமிழ்ந்து, அவன்மேல் கைகளை வைத்து எதையாகிலும் காண்கிறாயா என்று கேட்டார்.

அதற்கு அவன்: உன் குமாரனை என்னிடத்தில் தா என்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவள் மடியிலிருந்து எடுத்து, தான் தங்கியிருக்கிற மேல்வீட்டிலே அவனைக் கொண்டுபோய், தன் கட்டிலின்மேல் வைத்து:

உள்ளே போய், உன் பிள்ளைகளுடன் உள்ளே நின்று கதவைப் பூட்டி, அந்தப் பாத்திரங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் வார்த்து, நிறைந்ததை ஒரு பக்கத்தில் வை என்றான்.

உள்ளே போய்த் தங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பின்னாக அவன் கதவைப் பூட்டி, கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்து,

அதற்காக அவரைப் பார்த்து நகைத்தார்கள். எல்லாரையும் அவர் வெளியே போகப்பண்ணி, பிள்ளையின் தகப்பனையும், தாயையும், தம்மோடே வந்தவர்களையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு, பிள்ளையிருந்த இடத்தில் பிரவேசித்து,

இவைகளைச் சொல்லி, அவர் தரையிலே துப்பி, உமிழ்நீரினால் சேறுண்டாக்கி, அந்தச் சேற்றைக் குருடனுடைய கண்களின்மேல் பூசி:
