அப்பொழுது அந்தப்படவுகளில் ஒன்றில் ஏறினார், அது சீமோனுடையதாயிருந்தது; அதைக் கரையிலிருந்து சற்றே தள்ளும்படி அவனைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டு, அந்தப்படவில் உட்கார்ந்து, ஜனங்களுக்குப் போதகம்பண்ணினார்.

நகோமி தன்னுடைய இரண்டு மருமகள்களையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் இருவரும் உங்கள் தாய்வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போங்கள்; இறந்துபோனவர்களுக்கும் எனக்கும் நீங்கள் தயவுசெய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கும் தயவுசெய்வாராக.
