இந்தச் சங்கதி அத்தேசமெங்கும் பிரசித்தமாயிற்று.

அப்பொழுது, சப்பாணிகள், குருடர், ஊமையர், ஊனர் முதலிய அநேகரை, திரளான ஜனங்கள் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு இயேசுவிடத்தில் வந்து, அவர்களை அவர் பாதத்திலே வைத்தார்கள்; அவர்களை அவர் சொஸ்தப்படுத்தினார்.

அதுமுதல் அவருடைய கீர்த்தி கலிலேயா நாடெங்கும் பிரசித்தமாயிற்று.

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல் ஞானத்தைப் போதிக்கும்; மேன்மைக்கு முன்னானது தாழ்மை.

இயேசு தம்முடைய சீஷர்களோடே அவ்விடம் விட்டு, கடலோரத்துக்குப் போனார்.

அத்தருணத்திலே அநேகமாயிரம் ஜனங்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் மிதிக்கத்தக்கதாகக் கூடிவந்திருக்கையில், அவர் முதலாவது தம்முடைய சீஷரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மாயமாகிய பரிசேயருடைய புளித்தமாவைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.
