அப்பொழுது யூதர்கள் அலெக்சந்தர் என்பவனை முன்னே நிற்கத் தள்ளும்போது, கூட்டத்திலே சிலர் அவனை முன்னே இழுத்துவிட்டார்கள். அலெக்சந்தர் கையால் சைகை காட்டி, மக்களுக்கு உத்தரவுசொல்ல மனதாயிருந்தான்.

யூதர்கள் அலெக்ஸாண்டர் என்னும் பெயருள்ள ஒருவனை மக்கள் முன்பாக நிறுத்தினர். அவன் செய்ய வேண்டியதை மக்கள் அவனுக்கு விளக்கினார்கள். மக்களுக்குக் காரியங்களை விளக்கவேண்டியிருந்ததால் அலேக்ஸாண்டர் தனது கையை அமைதிக்காக அசைத்தான்.
