அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியனுடைய மனது இதமியப்பட்டு, அவன் ஏபோத்தையும் சுரூபங்களையும் வெட்டப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே புகுந்தான்.

அப்பொழுது மீகா: நீ என்னிடத்தில் இரு, நீ எனக்குத் தகப்பனும் ஆசாரியனுமாயிருப்பாய்; நான் உனக்கு வருஷத்திலே பத்து வெள்ளிக்காசையும், மாற்று வஸ்திரத்தையும், உனக்கு வேண்டிய ஆகாரத்தையும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவனிடத்தில் சொன்னான்; அப்படியே லேவியன் உள்ளே போனான்.

தா, தா, என்கிற இரண்டு குமாரத்திகள் அட்டைக்கு உண்டு. திருப்தியடையாத மூன்றுண்டு, போதும் என்று சொல்லாத நான்குமுண்டு.

திருப்தியடையாமலிருக்கும் பெருவயிற்று நாய்கள்; பகுத்தறிவில்லாத மேய்ப்பர்; அவர்களில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் தன் வழியையும் அவனவன் தன் தன் மூலையிலிருந்து தன் தன் பொழிவையும் நோக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறான்.

சாகத்தகாத ஆத்துமாக்களைக் கொல்வதற்கும், உயிரோடே இருக்கத்தகாத ஆத்துமாக்களை உயிரோடே காப்பாற்றுவதற்குமாக நீங்கள் பொய்க்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிற என் ஜனத்துக்குப் பொய்சொல்லுகிறதினாலே சில சிறங்கை வாற்கோதுமைக்காகவும் அப்பத்துண்டுகளுக்காகவும் என்னை என் ஜனத்துக்குள்ளே பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்குவீர்களோ என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்.

இதினிமித்தம் தேசம் புலம்பும்; அதில் குடியிருக்கிற அனைவரோடுங்கூட மிருகஜீவன்களும் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளும் தொய்ந்துபோகும்; கடலின் மச்சங்களும் வாரிக்கொள்ளப்படும்.

ஒருவனுடைய வெள்ளியையாகிலும் பொன்னையாகிலும் வஸ்திரத்தையாகிலும் நான் இச்சிக்கவில்லை.

அவர்களுடைய முடிவு அழிவு. அவர்களுடைய தேவன் வயிறு, அவர்களுடைய மகிமை அவர்களுடைய இலச்சையே, அவர்கள் பூமிக்கடுத்தவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கிறார்கள்.

பொருளாசையுடையவர்களாய், தந்திரமான வார்த்தைகளால் உங்களைத் தங்களுக்கு ஆதாயமாக வசப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்; பூர்வகாலமுதல் அவர்களுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்ட ஆக்கினை அயர்ந்திராது, அவர்களுடைய அழிவு உறங்காது.
