யோசுவா உயிரோடிருந்த சகல நாட்களிலும், கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் செய்த அவருடைய கிரியைகள் யாவையும் அறிந்து யோசுவாவுக்குப்பின்பு வெகுநாள் உயிரோடிருந்த மூப்பருடைய சகல நாட்களிலும், இஸ்ரவேலர் கர்த்தரைச் சேவித்தார்கள்.

யோசுவாவின் சகல நாட்களிலும் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்காகச் செய்த அவருடைய பெரிய கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் கண்டவர்களும், யோசுவாவுக்குப் பின்பு உயிரோடிருந்தவர்களுமாகிய மூப்பரின் சகல நாட்களிலும் ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தரைச் சேவித்தார்கள்.

உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் செய்த சிட்சையையும், அவருடைய மகத்துவத்தையும், அவருடைய பலத்த கையையும், அவருடைய ஓங்கிய புயத்தையும்,

அதை அறியாத அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் கேட்டு, நீங்கள் யோர்தானைக் கடந்து சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தில் உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கும் ஜனத்தைக்கூட்டி, அதை வாசிக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

கர்த்தர் செய்த மகத்துவமான கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் உங்கள் கண்கள் அல்லவோ கண்டது.

யோய்தா மரணமடைந்தபின்பு யூதாவின் பிரபுக்கள் வந்து, ராஜாவை பணிந்துகொண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தான்.

நான் போனபின்பு மந்தையைத் தப்பவிடாத கொடிதான ஓநாய்கள் உங்களுக்குள்ளே வரும்.

ஆதலால், எனக்குப் பியமானவர்களே, நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் கீழ்ப்படிகிறபடியே, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சமீபமாயிருக்கும்பொழுது மாத்திரமல்ல, நான் தூரமாயிருக்கிற இப்பொழுதும், அதிக பயத்தோடும் நடுக்கத்தோடும் உங்கள் இரட்சிப்பு நிறைவேறப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள்.
