அப்பொழுது ரூபன் புத்திரரும் காத் புத்திரரும் மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தாரும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ஆயிரவரின் தலைவருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக:

ஜனங்கள் எல்லாருக்குள்ளும் தேவனுக்குப் பயந்தவர்களும் உண்மையுள்ளவர்களும் பொருளாசையை வெறுக்கிறவர்களுமான திறமையுள்ள மனிதரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களை ஆயிரம்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், ஐம்பதுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், பத்துப்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும் ஏற்படுத்தும்.
