பின்பு அனனியா சகல ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும்: இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக இரண்டு வருஷகாலத்திலே பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய நுகத்தைச் சகல ஜாதிகளின் கழுத்திலுமிருந்து விலக உடைத்துப்போடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான். அப்பொழுது எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி தன் வழியேபோனான்.

பின்பு அனனியா எல்லா மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும்: இந்தப் பிரகாரமாக இரண்டு வருடகாலத்தில் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய நுகத்தை எல்லா மக்களின் கழுத்துகளிலுமிருந்து விலக உடைத்துப்போடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான். அப்பொழுது எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி தன் வழியே போனான்.

பிறகு அனனியா உரக்கப் பேசினான், எனவே அனைத்து ஜனங்களாலும் கேட்க முடிந்தது. அவன், “கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார்: ‘இதே மாதிரி நான் பாபிலோன் அரசன் நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் ஆட்சியை உடைப்பேன். அவன் அந்நுகத்தை உலகிலுள்ள அனைத்து நாடுகள் மேலும் வைத்தான். இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் முடியுமுன்னால் நான் அந்நுகத்தை உடைப்பேன்’” என்றான். அதனை அனனியா சொன்ன பிறகு, எரேமியா ஆலயத்தை விட்டுச் சென்றான்.

மேலும், அனனியா எல்லா மக்கள் முன்னிலையிலும், “ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே: இவ்வாறே பாபிலோனிய மன்னன் நெபுகத்னேசரின் நுகத்தை இன்னும் இரண்டே ஆண்டுகளில் மக்களினத்தார் அனைவருடைய கழுத்தினின்றும் பிடுங்கி முறித்தெறிவேன்” என்றான். உடனே இறைவாக்கினர் எரேமியா அவ்விடம் விட்டு அகன்றார்.⒫
