இஸ்ரவேல் பட்டணங்களின் குடிகள் வெளியே போய், கேடகங்களும், பரிசைகளும், வில்லுகளும், அம்புகளும் வளைதடிகளும், ஈட்டிகளுமாகிய ஆயுதங்களை எடுத்து எரிப்பார்கள்; ஏழுவருஷம் அவைகளை எடுத்து எரிப்பார்கள்.

“அந்த நேரத்தில், இஸ்ரவேல் நகரங்களில் வாழ்கின்ற ஜனங்கள் வயல்களைவிட்டு வெளியே செல்வார்கள். அவர்கள் பகைவர்களின் ஆயுதங்களைப் பொறுக்கி அவற்றை எரிப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் எல்லா கேடயங்களையும், வில்லம்புகளையும், வளை தடிகளையும், ஈட்டிகளையும் எரிப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் ஏழு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு அவற்றை விறகாகப் பயன்படுத்துவார்கள்.
