நீ போய்ச் சேருகிற தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடு உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; பண்ணினால் அது உன் நடுவில் கண்ணியாயிருக்கும்.

உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை உன்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது, அவர்களை முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைச் சங்காரம் பண்ணக்கடவாய்; அவர்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணவும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கவும் வேண்டாம்.

அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடே உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணுவாயானால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவர்களைச் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றி, தங்களுடைய தேவர்களுக்குப் பலியிடுவார்கள்; ஒருவன் உன்னை அழைக்கையில், நீ போய், அவன் பலியிட்டதிலே புசிப்பாய்;

இஸ்ரவேல் சித்தீமிலே தங்கியிருக்கையில், ஜனங்கள் மோவாபின் குமாரத்திகளோடே வேசித்தனம் பண்ணத்தொடங்கினார்கள்.

உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும் சகல ஜனங்களையும் நிர்மூலமாக்கக்கடவாய்; உன் கண் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்காதிருப்பதாக; அவர்கள் தேவர்களை நீ சேவியாமல் இருப்பாயாக; அது உனக்குக் கண்ணியாயிருக்கும்.

அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலர்: கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கைக் கேளாமல் அவர்களுடைய போஜனபதார்த்தத்தில் சிறிது வாங்கிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

தாவீதின் நாட்களில் மூன்று வருஷம் ஓயாத பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது தாவீது கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் விசாரித்தான்; கர்த்தர்: கிபியோனியரைக் கொன்றுபோட்ட சவுலுக்காகவும், இரத்தப்பிரியரான அவன் வீட்டாருக்காகவும் இது உண்டாயிற்று என்றார்.

ஜாதிகளுடனே கலந்து, அவர்கள் கிரியைகளைக் கற்று;

கிறிஸ்துவுக்கும் பேலியாளுக்கும் இசைவேது? அவிசுவாசியுடனே விசுவாசிக்குப் பங்கேது?
