பார்வோனின் குதிரைகள் அவனுடைய இரதங்களோடும் குதிரைவீரவோடும் சமுத்திரத்தில் பிரவேசித்தது; கர்த்தர் சமுத்திரத்தின் ஜலத்தை அவர்கள் மேல் திரும்பப்பண்ணினார்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோ சமுத்திரத்தின் நடுவே வெட்டாந்தரையிலே நடந்துபோனார்கள் என்று பாடினார்கள்.

பார்வோனின் குதிரைகள் அவனுடைய இரதங்களோடும் குதிரைவீரர்களோடும் கடலில் நுழைந்தது; கர்த்தர் கடலின் தண்ணீரை அவர்கள்மேல் திரும்பச்செய்தார்; இஸ்ரவேலர்களோ கடலின் நடுவே காய்ந்த நிலத்திலே நடந்துபோனார்கள் என்று பாடினார்கள்.

ஆம், அது உண்மையாகவே நிகழ்ந்தது! பார்வோனின் குதிரைகளும், வீரர்களும், இரதங்களும் கடலுக்குள் அமிழ்ந்தன. கடலின் ஆழத்து தண்ணீரை அவர்களுக்கு மேலாகக் கர்த்தர் கொண்டு வந்தார். ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களோ கடலினூடே உலர்ந்த தரையில் நடந்தனர்.
