உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச் சேரும் போது, அந்த ஜாதிகள் செய்யும் அருவருப்புகளின்படி செய்யக் கற்றுக் கொள்ளவேண்டாம்.

நீ சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தின் ஜாதிகளை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கு முன்பாகச் சங்கரிக்கும்போதும், நீ அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்து அதிலே குடியிருக்கும்போதும்,

இந்த அருவருப்புகளையெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குமுன் இருந்த அந்தத் தேசத்தின் மனிதர் செய்ததினாலே தேசம் தீட்டாயிற்று.

ஆகையால் உங்களுக்குமுன் செய்யப்பட்ட அருவருப்பான முறைமைகளில் யாதொன்றை நீங்கள் செய்து, அவைகளால் உங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளாதபடிக்கு என் கட்டளையைக் கைக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
