தேசம் விபசாரக்காரரால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது, தேசம் சாபத்தினால் துக்கிக்கிறது, வனாந்தரத்தின் மேய்ச்சல்கள் வாடிப்போகிறது, அவர்கள் ஓட்டம் பொல்லாதது; அவர்கள் பெலன் அநியாயமாயிருக்கிறது.

யூதா நாடு முழுவதும் வேசிதனம் என்னும் பாவம் செய்த ஜனங்களால் நிறைந்துள்ளது. அவர்கள் பல வழிகளில் விசுவாசமற்றவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள். கர்த்தர் அந்த நாட்டை சபித்தார். அது மிகவும் வறண்டுபோயிற்று. செடிகள் வாடி மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்கள் செத்துப்போயின. வயல்கள் வனாந்தரங்களைப்போன்று ஆயின. தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் எல்லாம் தீயவர்கள். அத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் தங்கள் செல்வாக்கைப் பயன்படுத்தி தவறான வழிகளில் அதிகாரத்தைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்.
