அப்பொழுது செருயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாபும் தாவீதின் சேவகரும் புறப்பட்டுப்போய் கிபியோனின் குளத்தண்டையில் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் எதிர்ப்பட்டு குளத்திற்கு அந்தப்பக்கத்தில் அவர்களும் குளத்திற்கு இந்தப்பக்கத்தில் இவர்களும் இறங்கினார்கள்.
