அப்பொழுது ராஜா கூஷியைப் பார்த்து: பிள்ளையாண்டானாகிய அப்சலோம் சுகமாயிருக்கிறானா என்று கேட்டதற்கு, கூஷி என்பவன்: அந்தப் பிள்ளையாண்டானுக்கு நடந்ததுபோல ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனுடைய சத்துருக்களுக்கும், பொல்லாப்புச் செய்ய உமக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிற யாவருக்கும் நடக்கக்கடவது என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா கூஷியைப் பார்த்து: வாலிபனான அப்சலோம் சுகமாக இருக்கிறானா என்று கேட்டதற்கு, கூஷி என்பவன்: அந்த வாலிபனுக்கு நடந்ததுபோல, ராஜாவான என் ஆண்டவனுடைய எதிரிகளுக்கும், தீங்கு செய்ய உமக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புகிற யாவருக்கும் நடக்கட்டும் என்றான்.
