1 சாமுவேல் 22:9
அப்பொழுது சவுலின் ஊழியக்காரரோடே நின்ற ஏதோமியனாகிய தோவேக்கு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஈசாயின் மகனை நோபிலிருக்கிற அகிதூபின் குமாரனாகிய அகிமெலேக்கிடத்தில் வரக்கண்டேன்.

அவர்களுடைய சுற்றுப்புறத்தாரில் அவர்களை இகழ்ந்த அனைவரிலும் நான் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளைச் செய்யும்போது, அவர்கள் அதிலே சுகமாகக் குடியிருந்து, வீடுகளைக் கட்டி, திராட்சைத்தோட்டங்களை நாட்டி, சுகமாக வாழ்ந்து, நான் தங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

அவர்கள் தம் நாட்டில் பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் வீடுகட்டுவார்கள். திராட்சை தோட்டங்களை அமைப்பார்கள். அதனை வெறுக்கிற, சுற்றிலும் உள்ள அனைத்து நாட்டினரையும் நான் தண்டிப்பேன். பிறகு இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக வாழ்வார்கள். நானே அவர்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்பதை அவர்கள் அறிவார்கள்.”

அவர்கள் அங்கே அச்சமின்றிக் குடியிருப்பர்; வீடுகளைக் கட்டி, திராட்சைத் தோட்டங்களை அமைப்பர். அவர்களை வன்னெஞ்சுடன் நடத்திய அண்டை நாட்டினர் அனைவர் மீதும் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்புகளை நான் நிறைவேற்றும்போது, அவர்கள் மட்டும் அச்சமின்றி வாழ்வர். அப்போது ‘நானே ஆண்டவர்’ என அறிந்து கொள்வர்.
