அப்பொழுது, தேசாதிபதியின் போர்ச்சேவகர் இயேசுவைத் தேசாதிபதியின் அரமனையிலே கொண்டுபோய், போர்ச்சேவகரின் கூட்டம் முழுவதையும் அவரிடத்தில் கூடிவரச்செய்து,

யோவான் 18:33
அப்பொழுது பிலாத்து மறுபடியும் அரமனைக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, இயேசுவை அழைத்து: நீ யூதருடைய ராஜாவா என்று கேட்டான்.

யோவான் 18:28
அவர்கள் காய்பாவினிடத்திலிருந்து இயேசுவைத் தேசாதிபதியின் அரமனைக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அப்பொழுது விடியற்காலமாயிருந்தது. தீட்டுப்படாமல் பஸ்காவைப் புசிக்கத்தக்கதாக, அவர்கள் தேசாதிபதியின் அரமனைக்குள் பிரவேசியாதிருந்தார்கள்.

நாங்கள் இத்தாலியா தேசத்துக்குக் கப்பல் ஏறிப் போகும்படி தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டபோது, பவுலையும் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த வேறுசிலரையும் அகுஸ்து பட்டாளத்தைச் சேர்ந்த யூலியு என்னும்பேர் கொண்ட நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதியினிடத்தில் ஒப்புவித்தார்கள்.

பிலாத்து இந்த வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டபொழுது அதிகமாய்ப் பயந்து,

யூதாஸ் போர்ச்சேவகரின் கூட்டத்தையும் பிரதான ஆசாரியர் பரிசேயர் என்பவர்களால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட ஊழியக்காரரையும் கூட்டிக்கொன்டு, பந்தங்களோடும் தீவட்டிகளோடும் ஆயுதங்களோடும் அவ்விடத்திற்கு வந்தான்.
