கழுகு தன் கூட்டைக் கலைத்து, தன் குஞ்சுகளின்மேல் அசைவாடி, தன் செட்டைகளை விரித்து, அவைகளை எடுத்து, அவைகளைத் தன் செட்டைகளின்மேல் சுமந்துகொண்டுபோகிறதுபோல,

கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ஒரு கழுகைப்போன்று இருந்தார். ஒரு கழுகு தன் குஞ்சுகளைப் பறக்கக் கற்பிக்கும்போது, அவற்றைக் கூட்டிலிருந்து கீழேதள்ளும். பின் அது தன் குஞ்சுகளைக் காப்பதற்கு அவற்றோடு பறக்கும். அவை விழும்போது தன் இறக்கைகளை விரித்து அவற்றைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளும், அது பாதுகாப்பான இடத்திற்குக் குஞ்சுகளைச் சிறகுகளில் தாங்கி எடுத்துச் செல்லும். கர்த்தர் இதனைப் போன்றவர்.
