ஆதியாகமம் 46
1 இஸ்ரவேல் தனக்கு உண்டான யாவையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு புறப்பட்டுப் பெயர்செபாவுக்குப் போய், தன் தகப்பனாகிய ஈசாக்குடைய தேவனுக்குப் பலியிட்டான்.
2 அன்று இரவிலே தேவன் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: யாக்கோபே, யாக்கோபே என்று கூப்பிட்டார்; அவன் இதோ, அடியேன் என்றான்.
3 அப்பொழுது அவர்: நான் தேவன், நான் உன் தகப்பனுடைய தேவன் நீ எகிப்து தேசத்துக்குப்போகப் பயப்படவேண்டாம்; அங்கே உன்னைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்குவேன்.
4 நான் உன்னுடனே எகிப்துக்கு வருவேன்; நான் உன்னைத் திரும்பவும் வரப்பண்ணுவேன்; யோசேப்பு தன் கையால் உன் கண்களை மூடுவான் என்று சொன்னார்.
1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
