ஓசியா 8
11 எப்பிராயீம் பாவஞ்செய்வதற்கேதுவாய் பலிபீடங்களைப் பெருகப்பண்ணினார்கள்; ஆதலால் பலிபீடங்களே அவர்கள் பாவஞ்செய்வதற்கு ஏதுவாகும்.
12 என் வேதத்தின் மகத்துவங்களை அவர்களுக்கு எழுதிக்கொடுத்தேன்; அவைகளை அந்நியகாரியமாக எண்ணினார்கள்.
13 எனக்குச் செலுத்தும் பலிகளின் மாம்சத்தை அவர்கள் பலியிட்டுப் புசிக்கிறார்கள்; கர்த்தர் அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியமாயிரார்; அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவர் நினைத்து, அவர்கள் பாவத்தை விசாரிக்கும்போதோவெனில், அவர்கள் எகிப்துக்குத் திரும்பிப்போவார்கள்.
11 Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
