3 ரூபனே, நீ என் சேஷ்டபுத்திரன்; நீ என் சத்துவமும், என் முதற்பெலனுமானவன்; நீ மேன்மையில் பிரதானமும் வல்லமையில் விசேஷமுமானவன்.
4 தண்ணீரைப்போலத் தளம்பினவனே, நீ மேன்மை அடையமாட்டாய்; உன் தகப்பனுடைய மஞ்சத்தின்மேல் ஏறினாய்; நீ அதைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினாய்; என் படுக்கையின்மேல் ஏறினானே.
3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
