என் ஜனத்தின் ஆபத்துநாளிலே நீ அவர்கள் வாசல்களுக்குள் பிரவேசியாமலும், அவர்கள் ஆபத்துநாளிலே அவர்கள் அநுபவிக்கிற தீங்கை நீ பிரியத்தோடே பாராமலும், அவர்கள் ஆபத்துநாளிலே அவர்கள் ஆஸ்தியில் கைபோடாமலும்,

בְּי֣וֹם, בְּי֣וֹם, וְאַל, בְּי֥וֹם

Obadiah 1:14

அவர்களில் தப்பினவர்களைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படி வழிச்சந்திகளிலே நிற்காமலும், இக்கட்டு நாளில் அவர்களில் மீதியானவர்களைக் காட்டிக்கொடாமலும் இருக்க வேண்டியதாயிருந்தது.

וְאַל, בְּי֥וֹם, צָרָֽה׃

But thou shouldest not	וְאַל	wĕʾal	veh-AL
have looked	תֵּ֤רֶא	tēreʾ	TAY-reh
on the day	בְיוֹם	bĕyôm	veh-YOME
of thy brother	אָחִ֙יךָ֙	ʾāḥîkā	ah-HEE-HA
in the day	בְּי֣וֹם	bĕyôm	beh-YOME
that he became a stranger;	נָכְר֔וֹ	nokrô	noke-ROH
neither	וְאַל	wĕʾal	veh-AL
shouldest thou have rejoiced	תִּשְׂמַ֥ח	tiśmaḥ	tees-MAHK
over the children	לִבְנֵֽי	libnê	leev-NAY
of Judah	יְהוּדָ֖ה	yĕhûdâ	yeh-hoo-DA
in the day	בְּי֣וֹם	bĕyôm	beh-YOME
of their destruction;	אָבְדָ֑ם	ʾobdām	ove-DAHM
neither	וְאַל	wĕʾal	veh-AL
shouldest thou have spoken	תַּגְדֵּ֥ל	tagdēl	tahɡ-DALE
proudly	פִּ֖יךָ	pîkā	PEE-ha
in the day	בְּי֥וֹם	bĕyôm	beh-YOME
of distress.	צָרָֽה׃	ṣārâ	tsa-RA
