யோவான் 5
31 என்னைக்குறித்து நானே சாட்சிகொடுத்தால் என் சாட்சி மெய்யாயிராது.
32 என்னைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிகொடுக்கிறவர் வேறொருவர் இருக்கிறார், அவர் என்னைக்குறித்துக் கொடுக்கிற சாட்சி மெய்யான சாட்சியென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.
33 நீங்கள் யோவானிடத்தில் ஆளனுப்பி விசாரித்தீர்கள், அவன் சத்தியத்திற்கு சாட்சிகொடுத்தான்.
34 நான் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிற சாட்சி மனுஷருடைய சாட்சியல்ல, நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதற்காகவே இவைகளைச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
35 அவன் எரிந்து பிரகாசிக்கிற விளக்காயிருந்தான்; நீங்களும் சிலகாலம் அவன் வெளிச்சத்திலே களிகூர மனதாயிருந்தீர்கள்.
36 யோவானுடைய சாட்சியைப்பார்க்கிலும் மேன்மையான சாட்சி எனக்கு உண்டு; அதென்னவெனில், நான் நிறைவேற்றும்படிக்குப் பிதாவானவர் எனக்குக் கற்பித்ததும் நான் செய்துவருகிறதுமான கிரியைகளே பிதா என்னை அனுப்பினார் என்று என்னைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சி கொடுக்கிறது.
37 என்னை அனுப்பின பிதா தாமே என்னைக் குறித்துச் சாட்சி கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்; நீங்கள் ஒருக்காலும் அவர் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டதுமில்லை, அவர் ரூபத்தைக் கண்டதுமில்லை.
38 அவர் அனுப்பினவரை நீங்கள் விசுவாசியாதபடியால் அவருடைய வசனம் உங்களில் தரித்திருக்கிறதுமில்லை.
39 வேதவாக்கியங்களை ஆராய்ந்துபாருங்கள்; அவைகளால் உங்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று எண்ணுகிறீர்களே, என்னைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிகொடுக்கிறவைகளும் அவைகளே.
40 அப்படியிருந்தும் உங்களுக்கு ஜீவன் உண்டாகும்படி என்னிடத்தில் வர உங்களுக்கு மனதில்லை.
41 நான் மனுஷரால் மகிமையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறதில்லை.
42 உங்களில் தேவ அன்பு இல்லையென்று உங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.
43 நான் என் பிதாவின் நாமத்தினாலே வந்திருந்தும் நீங்கள் என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை, வேறொருவன் தன் சுய நாமத்தினாலே வந்தால் அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள்.
44 தேவனாலேமாத்திரம் வருகிற மகிமையைத் தேடாமல், ஒருவராலொருவர் மகிமையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிற நீங்கள் எப்படி விசுவாசிப்பீர்கள்?
45 பிதாவினிடத்தில் நான் உங்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுவேன் என்று நினையாதிருங்கள், நீங்கள் நம்புகிற மோசேயே உங்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுவான்.
46 நீங்கள் மோசேயை விசுவாசித்தீர்களானால், என்னையும் விசுவாசிப்பீர்கள்; அவன் என்னைக்குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறானே.
31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
41 I receive not honour from men.
42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
Job 21 in Tamil and English
1 யோபு பிரதியுத்தரமாக:
But Job answered and said,
2 என் வசனத்தைக் கவனமாய்க் கேளுங்கள்; இது நீங்கள் என்னைத் தேற்றரவுபண்ணுவதுபோல இருக்கும்.
Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
3 நான் பேசப்போகிறேன், சகித்திருங்கள்; நான் பேசினபின்பு பரியாசம்பண்ணுங்கள்.
Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
4 நான் மனுஷனைப்பார்த்தா அங்கலாய்க்கிறேன்? அப்படியானாலும் என் ஆவி விசனப்படாதிருக்குமா?
As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
5 என்னைக் கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள், அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் பிரமித்து, உங்கள் வாயைக் கையால் பொத்திக்கொள்வீர்கள்.
Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
6 இதை நான் நினைக்கையில் கலங்குகிறேன்; நடுக்கம் என் மாம்சத்தைப் பிடிக்கும்.
Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
7 துன்மார்க்கர் ஜீவித்து விருத்தராகி, வல்லவராவானேன்?
Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
8 அவர்களோடுங்கூட அவர்கள் சந்ததியார் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் அவர்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் திடப்படுகிறார்கள்.
Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
9 அவர்கள் வீடுகள் பயமில்லாமல் பத்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும்; தேவனுடைய மிலாறு அவர்கள்மேல் வருகிறதில்லை.
Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
10 அவர்களுடைய எருது பொலிந்தால் வீணாய்ப்போகாது; அவர்களுடைய பசு சினை அழியாமல் ஈனுகிறது
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
11 அவர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளை ஒரு மந்தையைப்போல வெளியேபோகவிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் குதித்து விளையாடுகிறார்கள்.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
12 அவர்கள் தம்புரையும் சுரமண்டலத்தையும் எடுத்துப் பாடி, கின்னரத்தின் ஓசைக்குச் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறார்கள்.
They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
13 அவர்கள் செல்வவான்களாய்த் தங்கள் நாட்களைப் போக்கி, ஒரு ணப்பொழுதிலே பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குகிறார்கள்.
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
14 அவர்கள் தேவனை நோக்கி: எங்களைவிட்டு விலகியிரும், உம்முடைய வழிகளை அறிய விரும்போம்;
Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
15 சர்வவல்லவரை நாம் சேவிக்க அவர் யார்? அவரை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணுவதினால் நமக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் என்ன என்கிறார்கள்.
What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
16 ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் வாழ்வு அவர்கள் கையிலிராது; துன்மார்க்கரின் ஆலோசனை எனக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பதாக.
Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
17 எத்தனைச் சடுதியில் துன்மார்க்கரின் விளக்கு அணைந்துபோம்; அவர் தமது கோபத்தினால் வேதனைகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொடுக்கையில், அவர்கள் ஆபத்து அவர்கள்மேல் வரும்.
How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.
18 அவர்கள் காற்றுமுகத்திலிருக்கிலிருக்கிற துரும்பைப்போலவும், பெருங்காற்று பறக்கடிக்கிற பதரைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
19 தேவன் அவனுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு வைத்துவைக்கிறார்; அவன் உணரத்தக்கவிதமாய் அதை அவனுக்குப் பலிக்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.
God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
20 அவனுடைய அழிவை அவனுடைய கண்கள் காணும், சர்வவல்லவருடைய உக்கிரத்தைக் குடிப்பான்.
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21 அவன் மாதங்களின் தொகை குறுக்கப்படும்போது, அவனுக்குப்பிற்பாடு அவன் வீட்டைப்பற்றி அவனுக்கு இருக்கும் விருப்பமென்ன?
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
22 உயர்ந்தோரை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிற தேவனுக்கு அறிவை உணர்த்த யாராலாகும்?
Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
23 ஒருவன் நிர்வாகத்தோடும் சுகத்தோடும் வாழ்ந்து குறையற்ற பெலனுள்ளவனாய்ச் சாகிறான்.
One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
24 அவனுடைய பால்பாத்திரங்கள் பாலால் நிரம்பியிருக்கிறது, அவன் எலும்புகளில் ஊன் புஷ்டியாயிருக்கிறது.
His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
25 வேறொருவன் ஒரு நாளாவது சந்தோஷத்தோடே சாப்பிடாமல் மனக்கிலேசத்தோடே சாகிறான்.
And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
26 இருவரும் சமமாய் மண்ணிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; புழுக்கள் அவர்களை மூடும்.
They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
27 இதோ, நான் உங்கள் நினைவுகளையும், நீங்கள் என்னைப்பற்றி அநியாயாமாய்க் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆலோசனைகளையும் அறிவேன்.
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
28 பிரபுவினுடைய வீடு எங்கே? துன்மார்க்கருடைய கூடாரம் எங்கே என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள்.
For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
29 வழிநடந்துபோகிறவர்களை நீங்கள் கேட்கவில்லையா? அவர்கள் சொல்லும் குறிப்புகளை நீங்கள் அறியவில்லையா?
Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
30 துன்மார்க்கன் ஆபத்துநாளுக்கென்று வைக்கப்படுகிறான்; அவன் கோபாக்கினையின் நாளுக்கென்று கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறான்.
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
31 அவன் வழியை அவன் முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகத் தூண்டிக் காண்பிக்கிறவன் யார்? அவன் செய்கைக்குத்தக்க பலனை அவனுக்குச் சரிக்கட்டுகிறவன் யார்?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
32 அவன் கல்லறைக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறான்; அவன் கோரி காக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்.
Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
33 பள்ளத்தாக்கின் புல்பத்தைகள் அவனுக்கு இன்பமாயிருக்கும்; அவனுக்கு முன்னாக எண்ணிறந்த ஜனங்கள் போனதுபோல அவனுக்குப் பின்னாக ஒவ்வொருவரும் அவ்விடத்துக்குச் செல்லுவார்கள்.
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
34 நீங்கள் வீணான ஆறுதலை எனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறது என்ன? உங்கள் மறுமொழிகளில் உண்மைக்கேடு இருக்கிறது என்றான்.
How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
