9 இவைகளை உணரத்தக்க ஞானமுள்ளவன் யார்? இவைகளைக் கிரகிக்கத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ளவன் யார்? கர்த்தருடைய வழிகள் செம்மையானவைகள், நீதிமான்கள் அவைகளில் நடப்பார்கள்; பாதகரோவென்றால் அவைகளில் இடறிவிழுவார்கள்.
9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

10 வனாந்தரத்தில் திராட்சக்குலைகளைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதுபோல இஸ்ரவேலைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; அத்திமரத்தில் முதல்தரம் பழுத்த கனிகளைப்போல உங்கள் பிதாக்களைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோர் அண்டைக்குப்போய், இலச்சையானதற்குத் தங்களை ஒப்புவித்து, தாங்கள் நேசித்தவைகளைப்போலத் தாங்களும் அருவருப்புள்ளவர்களானார்கள்.
I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
