அப்பொழுது அவன்: இன்னும் வெகுபொழுதிருக்கிறதே; இது மந்தைகளைச் சேர்க்கிற வேளை அல்லவே, ஆடுகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர்காட்டி, இன்னும் மேயவிடலாம் என்றான்.

யாக்கோபு, “சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்க இன்னும் பொழுது இருக்கிறதே. ஆடுகளை இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் மேய்த்து தண்ணீர் காட்டலாமே! இது ஆடுகளை அடைக்கிற நேரமில்லையே. தண்ணீர் காட்டிவிட்டு மீண்டும் அவற்றை, வயல்வெளிக்கு அனுப்புங்கள்” என்றான்.
