Genesis 24:67
And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

அப்பொழுது ஈசாக்கு ரெபெக்காளைத் தன் தாய் சாராளுடைய கூடாரத்திற்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அவளைத் தனக்கு மனைவியாக்கிக்கொண்டு, அவளை நேசித்தான். ஈசாக்கு தன் தாய்க்காகக் கொண்டிருந்த துக்கம் நீங்கி ஆறுதல் அடைந்தான்.

பின் ஈசாக்கு அவளை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு அவனது தாயான சாராளின் கூடாரத்திற்குப் போனான். அன்று அவள் அவனது மனைவியானாள். ஈசாக்கு ரெபெக்காளைப் பெரிதும் நேசித்தான். அவன் தாயின் மரணத்தினால் அடைந்த துக்கம் குறைந்து அமைதியும் ஆறுதலும் பெற்றான்.
