Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

ஆதாதேசர் தோயீயின்மேல் எப்போதும் யுத்தம்செய்துகொண்டிருந்ததால், ராஜாவான தாவீதின் சுகசெய்தியை விசாரிக்கவும், அவன் ஆதாதேசரோடு யுத்தம்செய்து, அவனை முறியடித்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லவும் தோயீ தன்னுடைய மகனான யோராமை ராஜாவினிடம் அனுப்பினான். மேலும் யோராம் தன்னுடைய கையிலே வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் வெண்கலமுமான பொருட்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.

எனவே, தோயீ தன் மகனாகிய யோராமைத் தாவீது அரசனிடம் அனுப்பினான். தாவீது ஆதாதேசரைத் தோற்கடித்ததால் யோராம் தாவீதை வாழ்த்தி ஆசீர்வதித்தான். ஆதாதேசர் முன்பு தோயீக்கு எதிராக போரிட்டிருந்தான். பொன், வெள்ளி வெண்கலம் ஆகியவற்றாலான பொருட்களை யோராம் கொண்டு வந்திருந்தான்.
