சங்கீதம் 51:1
தேவனே, உமது கிருபையின்படி எனக்கு இரங்கும், உமது மிகுந்த இரக்கங்களின்படி என் மீறுதல்கள் நீங்க என்னைச் சுத்திகரியும்.
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your loving kindness: according unto the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
சங்கீதம் 42:5
என் ஆத்துமாவே நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; அவர் சமுகத்து இரட்சிப்பினிமித்தம் நான் இன்னும் அவரைத் துதிப்பேன்.
Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
யோவான் 14:27
சமாதானத்தை உங்களுக்கு வைத்துப்போகிறேன், என்னுடைய சமாதானத்தையே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன்; உலகம் கொடுக்கிறபிரகாரம் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதில்லை. உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காமலும் பயப்படாமலுமிருப்பதாக.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
லூக்கா 8:22

லூக்கா 8:23
படவு ஓடுகையில் அவர் நித்திரையாயிருந்தார். அப்பொழுது கடலிலே சுழல்காற்றுண்டானதால், அவர்கள் மோசமடையத்தக்கதாய்ப் படவு ஜலத்தினால் நிறைந்தது.
But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
லூக்கா 8:24
அவர்கள் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, ஐயரே, ஐயரே, மடிந்துபோகிறோம் என்று அவரை எழுப்பினார்கள்; அவர் எழுந்து, காற்றையும் ஜலத்தின் கொந்தளிப்பையும் அதட்டினார்; உடனே அவைகள் நின்றுபோய், அமைதலுண்டாயிற்று.
And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
லூக்கா 8:25
அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் விசுவாசம் எங்கே என்றார். அவர்கள் பயந்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: இவர் யாரோ, காற்றுக்கும் ஜலத்துக்கும் கட்டளையிடுகிறார், அவைகளும் இவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதே என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commands even the winds and water, and they obey him.
ஏசாயா 26:3
உம்மை உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொண்ட மனதையுடையவன் உம்மையே நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நீர் அவனைப் பூரண சமாதானத்துடன் காத்துக்கொள்வீர்.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.
மத்தேயு 27:3
அப்பொழுது, அவரைக் காட்டிக்கொடுத்த யூதாஸ், அவர் மரணாக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்பட்டதைக் கண்டு, மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு, அந்த முப்பது வெள்ளிக்காசைப் பிரதான ஆசாரியத்திடத்திற்கும் மூப்பரிடத்திற்கும் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவந்து:
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
மத்தேயு 27:4
குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தை நான் காட்டிக்கொடுத்ததினால் பாவஞ்செய்தேன் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: எங்களுக்கென்ன, அது உன்பாடு என்றார்கள்.
Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see you to that.
மத்தேயு 11:28
வருத்தப்பட்டுப் பாரஞ்சுமக்கிறவர்களே நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னிடத்தில் வாருங்கள்; நான் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாருதல் தருவேன்.
Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
மத்தேயு 11:29
நான் சாந்தமும் மனத்தாழ்மையுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என் நுகத்தை உங்கள்மேல் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, என்னிடத்தில் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அப்பொழுது, உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் கிடைக்கும்.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and all of you shall find rest unto your souls.
மத்தேயு 5:24
அங்கேதானே பலிபீடத்தின் முன் உன் காணிக்கையை வைத்துவிட்டுப் போய், முன்பு உன் சகோதரனோடே ஒப்புரவாகி, பின்பு வந்து உன் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்து.
Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

இதோ, நான் பெரியவனாயிருந்து, எனக்குமுன் எருசலேமிலிருந்த எல்லாரைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஞானமடைந்து தேறினேன்; என் மனம் மிகுந்த ஞானத்தையும் அறிவையும் கண்டறிந்தது என்று நான் என் உள்ளத்திலே சொல்லிக்கொண்டேன்.
I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have got more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.

ஞானத்தை அறிகிறதற்கும், பைத்தியத்தையும் மதியீனத்தையும் அறிகிறதற்கும், நான் என் மனதைப் பிரயோகம்பண்ணினேன்; இதுவும் மனதுக்குச் சஞ்சலமாயிருக்கிறதென்று கண்டேன்.
And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.

அதிக ஞானத்திலே அதிக சலிப்புணடு; அறிவுபெருத்தவன் நோவுபெருத்தவன்.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increases knowledge increases sorrow.
எஸ்தர் 6:1
அந்த ராத்திரியிலே ராஜாவுக்கு நித்திரை வராதபடியினால், காலவர்த்தமானங்கள் எழுதியிருக்கிற நடபடி புஸ்தகத்தைக் கொண்டுவரச்சொன்னான்; அது ராஜசமுகத்தில் வாசிக்கப்பட்டது.
On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

காலமே பார்வோனுடைய மனம் கலக்கங்கொண்டிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது அவன் எகிப்திலுள்ள சகல மந்திரவாதிகளையும் சகல சாஸ்திரிகளையும் அழைப்பித்து, அவர்களுக்குத் தன் சொப்பனத்தைச் சொன்னான்; ஒருவராலும் அதின் அர்த்தத்தைப் பார்வோனுக்குச் சொல்லக் கூடாமற்போயிற்று.
And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

எலிசா தான் உயிர்ப்பித்த பிள்ளையின் தாயாகிய ஸ்திரீயை நோக்கி: நீ உன் வீட்டாரோடுங்கூட எழுந்து புறப்பட்டுப் போய் எங்கேயாகிலும் சஞ்சரி: கர்த்தர் பஞ்சத்தை வருவிப்பார்; அது ஏழுவருஷம் தேசத்தில் இருக்கும் என்று சொல்லியிருந்தான்.
Then spoke Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go you and yours household, and sojourn where ever you can sojourn: for the LORD has called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

பின்பு ஒருநாள் எலிசா சூனேமுக்குப் போயிருக்கும்போது, அங்கேயிருந்த கனம்பொருந்திய ஒரு ஸ்திரீ அவனை போஜனம்பண்ண வருந்திக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டாள்; அப்படியே அவன் பயணப்பட்டு வருகிறபோதெல்லாம் போஜனம்பண்ணும்படி அங்கே வந்து தங்குவான்.
And it fell upon a certain day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as often as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
