1 பேதுரு 3:12
கர்த்தருடைய கண்கள் நீதிமான்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது, அவருடைய செவிகள் அவர்கள் வேண்டுதலுக்குக் கவனமாயிருக்கிறது; தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்கோ கர்த்தருடைய முகம் விரோதமாயிருக்கிறது.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
மத்தேயு 5:8

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

நீதிமான் பொய்ப்பேச்சை வெறுக்கிறான்; துன்மார்க்கனோ வெட்கமும் இலச்சையும் உண்டாக்குகிறான்.
A righteous man hates lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame.

நீதிமான்களுடைய உதடுகள் பிரியமானவைகளைப் பேச அறியும்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய வாயோ மாறுபாடுள்ளது.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverseness.

லூக்கா 18:11
பரிசேயன் நின்று; தேவனே! நான் பறிகாரர், அநியாயக்காரர், விபசாரக்காரர் ஆகிய மற்ற மனுஷரைப்போலவும், இந்த ஆயக்காரனைப்போலவும் இராததனால் உம்மை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortionists, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
லூக்கா 18:12
வாரத்தில் இரண்டுதரம் உபவாசிக்கிறேன்; என் சம்பாத்தியத்திலெல்லாம் தசமபாகம் செலுத்திவருகிறேன் என்று, தனக்குள்ளே ஜெபம்பண்ணினான்.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
லூக்கா 18:13
ஆயக்காரன் தூரத்திலே நின்று, தன் கண்களையும் வானத்துக்கு ஏறெடுக்கத் துணியாமல், தன் மார்பிலே அடித்துக்கொண்டு; தேவனே! பாவியாகிய என்மேல் கிருபையாயிரும் என்றான்.
And the publican, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but stroke upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
லூக்கா 18:14
அவனல்ல, இவனே நீதிமானாக்கப்பட்டவனாய்த் தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; ஏனெனில் தன்னை உயர்த்துகிறவனெவனும் தாழ்த்தப்படுவான், தன்னைத் தாழ்த்துகிறவன் உயர்த்தப்படுவான் என்றார்.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be brought low; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.
லூக்கா 10:30
இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஒரு மனுஷன் எருசலேமிலிருந்து எரிகோவுக்குப் போகையில் கள்ளர் கையில் அகப்பட்டான்; அவர்கள் அவன் வஸ்திரங்களை உரிந்துகொண்டு அவனைக் காயப்படுத்தி, குற்றுயிராக விட்டுப் போனார்கள்.
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

அப்பொழுது தற்செயலாய் ஒரு ஆசாரியன் அந்த வழியே வந்து, அவனைக்கண்டு, பக்கமாய் விலகிப்போனான்.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
லூக்கா 10:32
அந்தப்படியே ஒரு லேவியனும் அந்த இடத்துக்கு வந்து, அவனைக் கண்டு, பக்கமாய் விலகிப்போனான்.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
லூக்கா 10:33
பின்பு சமாரியன் ஒருவன் பிரயாணமாய் வருகையில், அவனைக் கண்டு, மனதுருகி,
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

கிட்ட வந்து, அவனுடைய காயங்களில் எண்ணெயும் திராட்சரசமும் வார்த்து, காயங்களைக் கட்டி, அவனைத் தன் சுயவாகனத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றி, சத்திரத்துக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவனைப் பராமரித்தான்.
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
லூக்கா 10:35
மறுநாளிலே தான் புறப்படும்போது இரண்டு பணத்தை எடுத்து, சத்திரத்தான் கையில் கொடுத்து: நீ இவனை விசாரித்துக்கொள், அதிகமாய் ஏதாகிலும் இவனுக்காகச் செலவழித்தால், நான் திரும்பிவரும்போது அதை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றான்.
And on the next day when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever you spend more, when I come again, I will repay you.
லூக்கா 10:36
இப்படியிருக்க, கள்ளர்கையில் அகப்பட்டவனுக்கு இந்த மூன்றுபேரில் எவன் பிறனாயிருந்தான் உனக்கு எப்படித்தோன்றுகிறது என்றார்.
Which now of these three, think you, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
லூக்கா 10:37
அதற்கு அவன்: அவனுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்தவனே என்றான். அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: நீயும் போய் அந்தப்படியே செய் என்றார்.
And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do you likewise.

மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறவன் கர்த்தரைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டக்கடவன்.
But he that glories, let him glory in the Lord.

தன்னைத்தான் புகழுகிறவன் உத்தமனல்ல, கர்த்தரால் புகழப்படுகிறவனே உத்தமன்.
For not he that commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
சங்கீதம் 143:2
ஜீவனுள்ள ஒருவனும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நீதிமான் அல்லாததினாலே அடியேனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கப் பிரவேசியாதேயும்.
And enter not into judgment with your servant: for in your sight shall no man living be justified.
லூக்கா 16:15
அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மனுஷர்முன்பாக உங்களை நீதிமான்களாகக் காட்டுகிறீர்கள், தேவனோ உங்கள் இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; மனுஷருக்குள்ளே மேன்மையாக எண்ணப்படுகிறது தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக அருவருப்பாயிருக்கிறது.
And he said unto them, All of you are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
