அன்றையதினம் யுத்தம் அதிகரித்தது; ராஜாவைச் சீரியருக்கு எதிராக இரதத்தில் நிறுத்திவைத்தார்கள்; சாயங்காலத்திலே அவன் இறந்துபோனான்; காயத்தின் இரத்தம் இரதத்தின் தட்டிலே வடிந்தது.

படைகள் தொடர்ந்து போரிட்டன. அரசன் தொலைவில் தங்கியிருந்தான். அதிலிருந்து சீரியாவின் படையைக் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான். அவனது இரத்தம் வடிந்து இரதத்தில் நிறைந்தது. அன்று மாலை, அவன் மரித்துப் போகவே,

அன்று முழுவதும் போர் தீவிரமாய் இருந்ததால், தேரிலேயே சிரியருக்கு எதிரே நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டான். அவனது காயத்திலிருந்து இரத்தம் வழிந்து தேரின் அடித்தளத்தை நனைத்தது. அன்று மாலையே அவன் இறந்தான்.
