Acts 9
1 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਕਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ।
2 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਮੰਗੀਆਂ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਨ, ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮਰਦ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
3 ਤਾਂ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਇੱਕ ਬੜੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਰਦ-ਗਿਰਦ ਚਮਕੀ।
4 ਉਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਛਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ, “ਸੌਲੁਸ, ਸੌਲੁਸ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ?”
5 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ?” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
6 ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੱਸੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।”
7 ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਚੁੱਪ-ਚਾਪ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਹੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਿਆ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
8 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਜਦੋਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਵੇਖ ਨਾ ਸੱਕਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਏ।
9 ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਧਾ ਪੀਤਾ।
10 ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਚੇਲਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਸੀ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ!” ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹਾਂ।”
11 ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਗਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਹ ਜੋ ‘ਸਿੱਧੀ ਗਲੀ’ ਕਹਾਂਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉੱਥੇ, ਯਹੂਦਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਤਰਸੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
12 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਬਿਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।”
13 ਪਰ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
14 ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਮਾਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਣ ਦਾ ਇਖਤਿਆਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।”
15 ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਜਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬੜੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ, ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
16 ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਉਂ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਝੱਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”
17 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾਹ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸੌਲੁਸ, ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਠਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ।”
18 ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛਿਲਕੇ ਜਿਹਿਆ ਕੁਝ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਦਿਖਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਸੌਲੁਸ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
19 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕੜਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ। ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ।
20 ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਉੱਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ, “ਯਿਸੂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ।”
21 ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੀ ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਹੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।”
22 ਪਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦਿਨੋਂ-ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਇੰਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
23 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣਾ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ।
24 ਉਹ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ।
25 ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ, ਇੱਕ ਰਾਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
26 ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਚੇਲਾ ਸੀ।
27 ਪਰ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੇਧੜਕ ਹੋਕੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
28 ਇਉਂ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇਆਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ।
29 ਉਹ ਅਕਸਰ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ।
30 ਜਦੋਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ, ਤਰਸੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
31 ਸੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ, ਗਲੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਸੀ। ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦਿਨੋਂ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ, ਜਿਸ ਢੰਗ਼ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਦਰਸ਼ਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ।
32 ਪਤਰਸ ਲੁੱਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤਰਸ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਇਰਦ-ਗਿਰਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੰਮਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਲੁੱਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਸੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਗਿਆ।
33 ਲੁੱਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਰੰਗੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਐਨਿਯਾਸ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਅੱਠ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਸੱਕਿਆ।
34 ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਐਨਿਯਾਸ, ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਿਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਛਾ!” ਉਹ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
35 ਸਾਰੇ ਲੁੱਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤ ਗਏ।
36 ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਿਥਾ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਚੇਲੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ “ਹਿਰਨੀ”। ਇਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬੜੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
37 ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਲੁੱਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਤਬਿਥਾ ਬੜੀ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਹਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
38 ਯੱਪਾ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਤਰਸ ਲੁੱਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਲੁੱਦਾ ਯੱਪਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਉਂਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਦੋ ਆਦਮੀ ਭੇਜੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੋ ਸੱਕੇ ਆਓ।”
39 ਪਤਰਸ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਖਲੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਉਹ ਰੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੋਂਦੀਆਂ-ਪਿਟਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਿਖਾਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਡੋਰਕਾ ਤਬਿਥਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਬਣਾਏ ਸਨ। ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਰੇ ਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ।
40 ਉਹ ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਭਾਰ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਓੁਹ ਤਬਿਥਾ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਿਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤਬਿਥਾ, ਉੱਠ।” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ। ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਈ।
41 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਲੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਬਿਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਸੀ।
42 ਸਾਰੇ ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ।
43 ਪਤਰਸ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਮੜੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰਿਹਾ।
1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 கிருபை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும்; உமது உண்மையை வானங்களிலே ஸ்தாபிப்பீர் என்றேன்.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

5 கர்த்தாவே, வானங்கள் உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களைத் துதிக்கும் பரிசுத்தவான்களின் சபையிலே உம்முடைய உண்மையும் விளங்கும்.
And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
7 தேவன் பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய ஆலோசனைச் சபையில் மிகவும் பயப்படத்தக்கவர், தம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிற அனைவராலும் அஞ்சப்படத்தக்கவர்.
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மைப்போல் வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் யார்? உம்முடைய உண்மை உம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறது.
O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 தேவரீர், சமுத்திரத்தின் பெருமையை ஆளுகிறவர்; அதின் அலைகள் எழும்பும்போது அவைகளை அடங்கப்பண்ணுகிறீர்.
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 வடக்கையும் தெற்கையும் நீர் உண்டாக்கினீர், தாபோரும் எர்மோனும் உம்முடைய நாமம் விளங்கக் கெம்பீரிக்கும்.
The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 உமக்கு வல்லமையுள்ள புயமிருக்கிறது; உம்முடைய கரம் பராக்கிரமமுள்ளது; உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் உன்னதமானது.
Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 நீதியும் நியாயமும் உம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தின் ஆதாரம்; கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நடக்கும்.
Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

19 அப்பொழுது நீர் உம்முடைய பக்தனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: சகாயஞ்செய்யத்தக்க சக்தியை ஒரு சவுரியவான்மேல் வைத்து, ஜனத்தில் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவனை உயர்த்தினேன்.
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; என் பரிசுத்த தைலத்தினால் அவனை அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினேன்.
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 என் கை அவனோடே உறுதியாயிருக்கும்; என் புயம் அவனைப் பலப்படுத்தும்.
With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 சத்துரு அவனை நெருக்குவதில்லை; நியாயக்கேட்டின் மகன் அவனை ஒடுக்குவதில்லை.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 அவன் சத்துருக்களை அவனுக்குமுன்பாக மடங்கடித்து, அவனைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை வெட்டுவேன்.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல் என் நியமங்களை மீறிநடந்தால்;
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 அவர்கள் மீறுதலை மிலாற்றினாலும், அவர்கள் அக்கிரமத்தை வாதைகளினாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 ஆனாலும் என் கிருபையை அவனைவிட்டு விலக்காமலும், என் உண்மையில் பிசகாமலும் இருப்பேன்.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 என் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறாமலும், என் உதடுகள் விளம்பினதை மாற்றாமலும் இருப்பேன்.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 சந்திரனைப்போல அது என்றென்றைக்கும் உறுதியாயும், ஆகாயமண்டலத்துச் சாட்சியைப்போல் உண்மையாயும் இருக்கும் என்று விளம்பினீர். (சேலா.)
It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38 ஆனாலும் நீர் எங்களை வெறுத்துத் தள்ளிவிட்டீர், நீர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணுவித்தவன்மேல் உக்கிரமானீர்.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 உமது அடியானுடன் நீர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையை ஒழித்துவிட்டு, அவன் கிரீடத்தைத் தரையிலேதள்ளி அவமானப்படுத்தினீர்.
Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40 அவன் மதில்களையெல்லாம் தகர்த்துப்போட்டு, அவன் அரணான ஸ்தலங்களைப் பாழாக்கினீர்.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

49 ஆண்டவரே, நீர் தாவீதுக்கு உம்முடைய உண்மையைக்கொண்டு சத்தியம்பண்ணின உமது பூர்வ கிருபைகள் எங்கே?
Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய சத்துருக்கள் உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரையும் நீர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவனின் காலடிகளையும் நிந்திக்கிறபடியினால்,
Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
51 கர்த்தாவே, உமது அடியார் சுமக்கும் நிந்தையையும், வலுமையான ஜனங்களெல்லாராலும் நான் என் மடியில் சுமக்கும் என் நிந்தையையும் நினைத்தருளும்.
Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Lord; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
