וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח Joshua va-yeesh-LAHK יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ the yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah בִּן son been נ֠וּן of noon מִֽן Nun meen הַשִּׁטִּ֞ים sent ha-shee-TEEM שְׁנַֽיִם out sheh-NA-yeem אֲנָשִׁ֤ים of uh-na-SHEEM מְרַגְּלִים֙ Shittim meh-ra-ɡeh-LEEM חֶ֣רֶשׁ two HEH-resh לֵאמֹ֔ר men lay-MORE לְכ֛וּ to leh-HOO רְא֥וּ spy reh-OO אֶת secretly, et הָאָ֖רֶץ saying, ha-AH-rets וְאֶת Go veh-ET יְרִיח֑וֹ view yeh-ree-HOH וַיֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ va-YAY-leh-HOO וַ֠יָּבֹאוּ the VA-ya-voh-oo בֵּית land, bate אִשָּׁ֥ה even ee-SHA זוֹנָ֛ה Jericho. zoh-NA וּשְׁמָ֥הּ And oo-sheh-MA רָחָ֖ב they ra-HAHV וַיִּשְׁכְּבוּ went, va-yeesh-keh-VOO שָֽׁמָּה׃ and SHA-ma -
וַיֵּ֣אָמַ֔ר it va-YAY-ah-MAHR לְמֶ֥לֶךְ was leh-MEH-lek יְרִיח֖וֹ told yeh-ree-HOH לֵאמֹ֑ר the lay-MORE הִנֵּ֣ה king hee-NAY אֲ֠נָשִׁים of UH-na-sheem בָּ֣אוּ Jericho, BA-oo הֵ֧נָּה saying, HAY-na הַלַּ֛יְלָה Behold, ha-LA-la מִבְּנֵ֥י there mee-beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל came yees-ra-ALE לַחְפֹּ֥ר men lahk-PORE אֶת in et הָאָֽרֶץ׃ hither ha-AH-rets -
וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ the va-yeesh-LAHK מֶ֣לֶךְ king MEH-lek יְרִיח֔וֹ of yeh-ree-HOH אֶל Jericho el רָחָ֖ב sent ra-HAHV לֵאמֹ֑ר unto lay-MORE ה֠וֹצִיאִי Rahab, HOH-tsee-ee הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֨ים saying, ha-uh-na-SHEEM הַבָּאִ֤ים Bring ha-ba-EEM אֵלַ֙יִךְ֙ forth ay-LA-yeek אֲשֶׁר the uh-SHER בָּ֣אוּ men BA-oo לְבֵיתֵ֔ךְ that leh-vay-TAKE כִּ֛י are kee לַחְפֹּ֥ר come lahk-PORE אֶת to et כָּל thee, kahl הָאָ֖רֶץ which ha-AH-rets בָּֽאוּ׃ are ba-OO -
וַתִּקַּ֧ח the va-tee-KAHK הָֽאִשָּׁ֛ה woman ha-ee-SHA אֶת took et שְׁנֵ֥י sheh-NAY הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֖ים the ha-uh-na-SHEEM וַֽתִּצְפְּנ֑וֹ two va-teets-peh-NOH וַתֹּ֣אמֶר׀ men, va-TOH-mer כֵּ֗ן and kane בָּ֤אוּ hid BA-oo אֵלַי֙ them, ay-LA הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים and ha-uh-na-SHEEM וְלֹ֥א said veh-LOH יָדַ֖עְתִּי thus, ya-DA-tee מֵאַ֥יִן There may-AH-yeen הֵֽמָּה׃ came HAY-ma -
וַיְהִ֨י it vai-HEE הַשַּׁ֜עַר came ha-SHA-ar לִסְגּ֗וֹר to lees-ɡORE בַּחֹ֙שֶׁךְ֙ pass ba-HOH-shek וְהָֽאֲנָשִׁ֣ים about veh-ha-uh-na-SHEEM יָצָ֔אוּ the ya-TSA-oo לֹ֣א time loh יָדַ֔עְתִּי of ya-DA-tee אָ֥נָה shutting AH-na הָֽלְכ֖וּ of ha-leh-HOO הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֑ים the ha-uh-na-SHEEM רִדְפ֥וּ gate, reed-FOO מַהֵ֛ר when ma-HARE אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם it ah-huh-ray-HEM כִּ֥י was kee תַשִּׂיגֽוּם׃ dark, ta-see-ɡOOM -
וְהִ֖יא she veh-HEE הֶֽעֱלָ֣תַם had heh-ay-LA-tahm הַגָּ֑גָה brought ha-ɡA-ɡa וַֽתִּטְמְנֵם֙ them va-teet-meh-NAME בְּפִשְׁתֵּ֣י up beh-feesh-TAY הָעֵ֔ץ to ha-AYTS הָֽעֲרֻכ֥וֹת the ha-uh-roo-HOTE לָ֖הּ roof la עַל of al הַגָּֽג׃ the ha-ɡAHɡ -
וְהָֽאֲנָשִׁ֗ים the veh-ha-uh-na-SHEEM רָֽדְפ֤וּ men ra-deh-FOO אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם֙ pursued ah-huh-ray-HEM דֶּ֣רֶךְ after DEH-rek הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן them ha-yahr-DANE עַ֖ל the al הַֽמַּעְבְּר֑וֹת way ha-ma-beh-ROTE וְהַשַּׁ֣עַר to veh-ha-SHA-ar סָגָ֔רוּ Jordan sa-ɡA-roo אַֽחֲרֵ֕י unto ah-huh-RAY כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר the ka-uh-SHER יָֽצְא֥וּ fords: ya-tseh-OO הָרֹֽדְפִ֖ים and ha-roh-deh-FEEM אַֽחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ as AH-huh-ray-HEM -
וְהֵ֖מָּה before veh-HAY-ma טֶ֣רֶם they TEH-rem יִשְׁכָּב֑וּן were yeesh-ka-VOON וְהִ֛יא laid veh-HEE עָֽלְתָ֥ה down, ah-leh-TA עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם she uh-lay-HEM עַל came al הַגָּֽג׃ up ha-ɡAHɡ -
וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ she va-TOH-MER אֶל said el הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים unto HA-uh-na-SHEEM יָדַ֕עְתִּי the ya-DA-tee כִּֽי men, kee נָתַ֧ן I na-TAHN יְהוָ֛ה know yeh-VA לָכֶ֖ם that la-HEM אֶת the et הָאָ֑רֶץ Lord ha-AH-rets וְכִֽי hath veh-HEE נָפְלָ֤ה given nofe-LA אֵֽימַתְכֶם֙ you ay-maht-HEM עָלֵ֔ינוּ ah-LAY-noo וְכִ֥י the veh-HEE נָמֹ֛גוּ land, na-MOH-ɡoo כָּל and kahl יֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י that yoh-sheh-VAY הָאָ֖רֶץ your ha-AH-rets מִפְּנֵיכֶֽם׃ terror mee-peh-nay-HEM -
כִּ֣י we kee שָׁמַ֗עְנוּ have sha-MA-noo אֵ֠ת heard ate אֲשֶׁר uh-SHER הוֹבִ֨ישׁ how hoh-VEESH יְהוָ֜ה the yeh-VA אֶת Lord et מֵ֤י dried may יַם up yahm סוּף֙ soof מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם the mee-peh-nay-HEM בְּצֵֽאתְכֶ֖ם water beh-tsay-teh-HEM מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם of mee-meets-RA-yeem וַֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר the va-uh-SHER עֲשִׂיתֶ֡ם Red uh-see-TEM לִשְׁנֵי֩ sea leesh-NAY מַלְכֵ֨י for mahl-HAY הָֽאֱמֹרִ֜י you, ha-ay-moh-REE אֲשֶׁ֨ר when uh-SHER בְּעֵ֤בֶר ye beh-A-ver הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ came ha-yahr-DANE לְסִיחֹ֣ן out leh-see-HONE וּלְע֔וֹג of oo-leh-OɡE אֲשֶׁ֥ר Egypt; uh-SHER הֶֽחֱרַמְתֶּ֖ם and heh-hay-rahm-TEM אוֹתָֽם׃ what oh-TAHM -
וַנִּשְׁמַע֙ as va-neesh-MA וַיִּמַּ֣ס soon va-yee-MAHS לְבָבֵ֔נוּ as leh-va-VAY-noo וְלֹא we veh-LOH קָ֨מָה had KA-ma ע֥וֹד heard ode ר֛וּחַ these ROO-ak בְּאִ֖ישׁ things, beh-EESH מִפְּנֵיכֶ֑ם our mee-peh-nay-HEM כִּ֚י hearts kee יְהוָ֣ה did yeh-VA אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם melt, ay-loh-hay-HEM ה֤וּא neither hoo אֱלֹהִים֙ did ay-loh-HEEM בַּשָּׁמַ֣יִם there ba-sha-MA-yeem מִמַּ֔עַל remain mee-MA-al וְעַל any veh-AL הָאָ֖רֶץ more ha-AH-rets מִתָּֽחַת׃ courage mee-TA-haht -
וְעַתָּ֗ה therefore, veh-ah-TA הִשָּֽׁבְעוּ I hee-SHA-veh-oo נָ֥א pray na לִי֙ you, lee בַּֽיהוָ֔ה swear bai-VA כִּֽי unto kee עָשִׂ֥יתִי me ah-SEE-tee עִמָּכֶ֖ם by ee-ma-HEM חָ֑סֶד the HA-sed וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶ֨ם Lord, va-uh-see-TEM גַּם since ɡahm אַתֶּ֜ם I ah-TEM עִם have eem בֵּ֤ית shewed bate אָבִי֙ you ah-VEE חֶ֔סֶד kindness, HEH-sed וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם oo-neh-ta-TEM לִ֖י that lee א֥וֹת ye ote אֱמֶֽת׃ will ay-MET -
וְהַֽחֲיִתֶ֞ם that veh-ha-huh-yee-TEM אֶת ye et אָבִ֣י will ah-VEE וְאֶת save veh-ET אִמִּ֗י alive ee-MEE וְאֶת veh-ET אַחַי֙ my ah-HA וְאֶת father, veh-ET אַחְוֹתַי and ah-h-oh-TAI וְאֵ֖ת my veh-ATE כָּל mother, kahl אֲשֶׁ֣ר and uh-SHER לָהֶ֑ם my la-HEM וְהִצַּלְתֶּ֥ם brethren, veh-hee-tsahl-TEM אֶת and et נַפְשֹׁתֵ֖ינוּ my nahf-shoh-TAY-noo מִמָּֽוֶת׃ sisters, mee-MA-vet -
וַיֹּ֧אמְרוּ the va-YOH-meh-roo לָ֣הּ men la הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֗ים answered ha-uh-na-SHEEM נַפְשֵׁ֤נוּ her, nahf-SHAY-noo תַחְתֵּיכֶם֙ Our tahk-tay-HEM לָמ֔וּת life la-MOOT אִ֚ם for eem לֹ֣א yours, loh תַגִּ֔ידוּ if ta-ɡEE-doo אֶת ye et דְּבָרֵ֖נוּ utter deh-va-RAY-noo זֶ֑ה not zeh וְהָיָ֗ה veh-ha-YA בְּתֵת this beh-TATE יְהוָ֥ה our yeh-VA לָ֙נוּ֙ business. LA-NOO אֶת And et הָאָ֔רֶץ it ha-AH-rets וְעָשִׂ֥ינוּ shall veh-ah-SEE-noo עִמָּ֖ךְ be, ee-MAHK חֶ֥סֶד when HEH-sed וֶֽאֱמֶֽת׃ the VEH-ay-MET -
וַתּֽוֹרִדֵ֥ם she va-toh-ree-DAME בַּחֶ֖בֶל let ba-HEH-vel בְּעַ֣ד them beh-AD הַֽחַלּ֑וֹן down ha-HA-lone כִּ֤י by kee בֵיתָהּ֙ a vay-TA בְּקִ֣יר cord beh-KEER הַֽחוֹמָ֔ה through ha-hoh-MA וּבַֽחוֹמָ֖ה the oo-va-hoh-MA הִ֥יא window: hee יוֹשָֽׁבֶת׃ for yoh-SHA-vet -
וַתֹּ֤אמֶר she va-TOH-mer לָהֶם֙ said la-HEM הָהָ֣רָה unto ha-HA-ra לֵּ֔כוּ them, LAY-hoo פֶּֽן Get pen יִפְגְּע֥וּ you yeef-ɡeh-OO בָכֶ֖ם to va-HEM הָרֹֽדְפִ֑ים the ha-roh-deh-FEEM וְנַחְבֵּתֶ֨ם mountain, veh-nahk-bay-TEM שָׁ֜מָּה lest SHA-ma שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת the sheh-LOH-shet יָמִ֗ים pursuers ya-MEEM עַ֚ד meet ad שׁ֣וֹב you; shove הָרֹֽדְפִ֔ים and ha-roh-deh-FEEM וְאַחַ֖ר hide veh-ah-HAHR תֵּֽלְכ֥וּ yourselves tay-leh-HOO לְדַרְכְּכֶֽם׃ there leh-dahr-keh-HEM -
וַיֹּֽאמְר֥וּ the va-yoh-meh-ROO אֵלֶ֖יהָ men ay-LAY-ha הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֑ים said ha-uh-na-SHEEM נְקִיִּ֣ם unto neh-kee-YEEM אֲנַ֔חְנוּ her, uh-NAHK-noo מִשְּׁבֻֽעָתֵ֥ךְ We mee-sheh-voo-ah-TAKE הַזֶּ֖ה will ha-ZEH אֲשֶׁ֥ר be uh-SHER הִשְׁבַּעְתָּֽנוּ׃ blameless heesh-ba-ta-NOO -
הִנֵּ֛ה when hee-NAY אֲנַ֥חְנוּ we uh-NAHK-noo בָאִ֖ים come va-EEM בָּאָ֑רֶץ into ba-AH-rets אֶת the et תִּקְוַ֡ת land, teek-VAHT חוּט֩ thou hoot הַשָּׁנִ֨י shalt ha-sha-NEE הַזֶּ֜ה bind ha-ZEH תִּקְשְׁרִ֗י teek-sheh-REE בַּֽחַלּוֹן֙ this ba-ha-LONE אֲשֶׁ֣ר line uh-SHER הֽוֹרַדְתֵּ֣נוּ of hoh-rahd-TAY-noo ב֔וֹ scarlet voh וְאֶת thread veh-ET אָבִ֨יךְ in ah-VEEK וְאֶת the veh-ET אִמֵּ֜ךְ window ee-MAKE וְאֶת which veh-ET אַחַ֗יִךְ thou ah-HA-yeek וְאֵת֙ didst veh-ATE כָּל let kahl בֵּ֣ית us bate אָבִ֔יךְ down ah-VEEK תַּֽאַסְפִ֥י by: ta-as-FEE אֵלַ֖יִךְ and ay-LA-yeek הַבָּֽיְתָה׃ thou ha-BA-yeh-ta -
וְהָיָ֡ה it veh-ha-YA כֹּ֣ל shall kole אֲשֶׁר be, uh-SHER יֵצֵא֩ that yay-TSAY מִדַּלְתֵ֨י whosoever mee-dahl-TAY בֵיתֵ֧ךְ׀ vay-TAKE הַח֛וּצָה shall ha-HOO-tsa דָּמ֥וֹ go da-MOH בְרֹאשׁ֖וֹ out veh-roh-SHOH וַֽאֲנַ֣חְנוּ of va-uh-NAHK-noo נְקִיִּ֑ם the neh-kee-YEEM וְ֠כֹל doors VEH-hole אֲשֶׁ֨ר of uh-SHER יִֽהְיֶ֤ה thy yee-heh-YEH אִתָּךְ֙ house ee-toke בַּבַּ֔יִת into ba-BA-yeet דָּמ֣וֹ the da-MOH בְרֹאשֵׁ֔נוּ street, veh-roh-SHAY-noo אִם his eem יָ֖ד blood yahd תִּֽהְיֶה shall TEE-heh-yeh בּֽוֹ׃ be boh -
וְאִם if veh-EEM תַּגִּ֖ידִי thou ta-ɡEE-dee אֶת utter et דְּבָרֵ֣נוּ deh-va-RAY-noo זֶ֑ה this zeh וְהָיִ֣ינוּ our veh-ha-YEE-noo נְקִיִּ֔ם business, neh-kee-YEEM מִשְּׁבֻֽעָתֵ֖ךְ then mee-sheh-voo-ah-TAKE אֲשֶׁ֥ר we uh-SHER הִשְׁבַּעְתָּֽנוּ׃ will heesh-ba-ta-NOO -
וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ she va-TOH-MER כְּדִבְרֵיכֶ֣ם said, keh-deev-ray-HEM כֶּן According ken ה֔וּא unto hoo וַֽתְּשַׁלְּחֵ֖ם your va-teh-sha-leh-HAME וַיֵּלֵ֑כוּ words, va-yay-LAY-hoo וַתִּקְשֹׁ֛ר so va-teek-SHORE אֶת be et תִּקְוַ֥ת it. teek-VAHT הַשָּׁנִ֖י And ha-sha-NEE בַּֽחַלּֽוֹן׃ she BA-ha-lone -
וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ they va-yay-leh-HOO וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ went, va-ya-VOH-oo הָהָ֔רָה and ha-HA-ra וַיֵּ֤שְׁבוּ came va-YAY-sheh-voo שָׁם֙ unto shahm שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת the sheh-LOH-shet יָמִ֔ים mountain, ya-MEEM עַד and ad שָׁ֖בוּ abode SHA-voo הָרֹֽדְפִ֑ים there ha-roh-deh-FEEM וַיְבַקְשׁ֧וּ three vai-vahk-SHOO הָרֹֽדְפִ֛ים days, ha-roh-deh-FEEM בְּכָל until beh-HAHL הַדֶּ֖רֶךְ the ha-DEH-rek וְלֹ֥א pursuers veh-LOH מָצָֽאוּ׃ were ma-tsa-OO -
וַיָּשֻׁ֜בוּ the va-ya-SHOO-voo שְׁנֵ֤י two sheh-NAY הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ men ha-uh-na-SHEEM וַיֵּֽרְד֣וּ returned, va-yay-reh-DOO מֵֽהָהָ֔ר and may-ha-HAHR וַיַּֽעַבְרוּ֙ descended va-ya-av-ROO וַיָּבֹ֔אוּ from va-ya-VOH-oo אֶל the el יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ mountain, yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah בִּן and been נ֑וּן passed noon וַיְסַ֨פְּרוּ over, vai-SA-peh-roo ל֔וֹ and loh אֵ֥ת came ate כָּל to kahl הַמֹּֽצְא֖וֹת Joshua ha-moh-tseh-OTE אוֹתָֽם׃ the oh-TAHM -
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ they va-yoh-meh-ROO אֶל said el יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ unto yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah כִּֽי Joshua, kee נָתַ֧ן Truly na-TAHN יְהוָ֛ה the yeh-VA בְּיָדֵ֖נוּ Lord beh-ya-DAY-noo אֶת hath et כָּל delivered kahl הָאָ֑רֶץ into ha-AH-rets וְגַם our veh-ɡAHM נָמֹ֛גוּ hands na-MOH-ɡoo כָּל kahl יֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י all yoh-sheh-VAY הָאָ֖רֶץ the ha-AH-rets מִפָּנֵֽינוּ׃ land; mee-pa-NAY-noo
