Numbers 17:5
ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നവന്റെ വടി തളിർക്കും; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ നിർത്തലാക്കും.

| rod, | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| whom | אֶבְחַר | ʾebḥar | ev-HAHR |
| I shall choose, | בּ֖וֹ | bô | boh |
| shall blossom: | מַטֵּ֣הוּ | maṭṭēhû | ma-TAY-hoo |
| cease to make will I and | יִפְרָ֑ח | yiprāḥ | yeef-RAHK |
| from | וַֽהֲשִׁכֹּתִ֣י | wahăšikkōtî | va-huh-shee-koh-TEE |
| me | מֵֽעָלַ֗י | mēʿālay | may-ah-LAI |
| the murmurings | אֶת | ʾet | et |

| of Israel, | בְּנֵ֣י | bĕnê | beh-NAY |
| whereby | יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |

| murmur | הֵ֥ם | hēm | hame |
| against | מַלִּינִ֖ם | mallînim | ma-lee-NEEM |
