അവർ യിസ്രായേൽപാളയത്തിങ്കൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേല്യർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു മോവാബ്യരെ തോല്പിച്ചോടിച്ചു; അവർ ദേശത്തിൽ കടന്നുചെന്നു മോവാബ്യരെ പിന്നെയും തോല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

| rose up | יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| and smote | וַיַּכּ֣וּ | wayyakkû | va-YA-koo |

| the Moabites, | מוֹאָ֔ב | môʾāb | moh-AV |
| fled they that so | וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ | wayyānusû | va-ya-NOO-soo |
