അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; തന്റെ പിതാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ വഴിയിലൊക്കെയും വലത്തോട്ടും ഇടത്തോട്ടും മാറാതെ നടന്നു.

| of David | דָּוִ֣ד | dāwid | da-VEED |
| his father, | אָבִ֔יו | ʾābîw | ah-VEEOO |
| and turned not aside | וְלֹא | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| סָ֖ר | sār | sahr | |
| to the right hand | יָמִ֥ין | yāmîn | ya-MEEN |
| or to the left. | וּשְׂמֹֽאול׃ | ûśĕmōwl | oo-seh-MOVE-l |
