അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേല്യർ ഒക്കെയും ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ തോറ്റോടി എന്നു കേട്ടയുടനെ അവരും പടയിൽ ചേർന്നു അവരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു.

| the Philistines | נָ֖סוּ | nāsû | NA-soo |
| fled, | פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים | pĕlištîm | peh-leesh-TEEM |
| even they | וַֽיַּדְבְּק֥וּ | wayyadbĕqû | va-yahd-beh-KOO |
| also | גַם | gam | ɡahm |
| followed hard | הֵ֛מָּה | hēmmâ | HAY-ma |
| after | אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם | ʾaḥărêhem | ah-huh-ray-HEM |
| them in the battle. | בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ | bammilḥāmâ | ba-meel-ha-MA |
