അരാമ്യർ ഓടിപ്പോയി എന്നു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അമ്മോന്യരും അബീശായിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടി പട്ടണത്തിൽ കടന്നു. യോവാബ് അമ്മോന്യരെ വിട്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.

And when the children	וּבְנֵ֨י	ûbĕnê	oo-veh-NAY
of Ammon	עַמּ֤וֹן	ʿammôn	AH-mone
saw	רָאוּ֙	rāʾû	ra-OO
that	כִּי	kî	kee
Syrians the	נָ֣ס	nās	nahs
were fled,	אֲרָ֔ם	ʾărām	uh-RAHM
then fled	וַיָּנֻ֙סוּ֙	wayyānusû	va-ya-NOO-SOO
they also before	מִפְּנֵ֣י	mippĕnê	mee-peh-NAY
Abishai,	אֲבִישַׁ֔י	ʾăbîšay	uh-vee-SHAI
and entered	וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ	wayyābōʾû	va-ya-VOH-oo
into the city.	הָעִ֑יר	hāʿîr	ha-EER
So Joab	וַיָּ֣שָׁב	wayyāšob	va-YA-shove
returned	יוֹאָ֗ב	yôʾāb	yoh-AV
from	מֵעַל֙	mēʿal	may-AL
the children	בְּנֵ֣י	bĕnê	beh-NAY
of Ammon,	עַמּ֔וֹן	ʿammôn	AH-mone
and came	וַיָּבֹ֖א	wayyābōʾ	va-ya-VOH
to Jerusalem.	יְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃	yĕrûšāloim	yeh-ROO-sha-loh-EEM
