ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 1:17
ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದನು.

And God	וַיִּתֵּ֥ן	wayyittēn	va-yee-TANE
set	אֹתָ֛ם	ʾōtām	oh-TAHM
them in the firmament	אֱלֹהִ֖ים	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
heaven the of	בִּרְקִ֣יעַ	birqîaʿ	beer-KEE-ah
to give light	הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם	haššāmāyim	ha-sha-MA-yeem
upon	לְהָאִ֖יר	lĕhāʾîr	leh-ha-EER
the earth,	עַל	ʿal	al
	הָאָֽרֶץ׃	hāʾāreṣ	ha-AH-rets
