ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವದು;

ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಹತರಾಗಲು ಐಥಿಯೋಪ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಕಟವಾಗುವದು; ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಜನಸಮೂ ಹವು ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಮುರಿದು ಹಾಳಾಗುವದು.

ಆದ ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ --ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಬಲವುಳ್ಳದ್ದೂ ಮುರಿದದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಅವನ ತೋಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿ ಯುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
